Not going to lie they have had some of the best games, albeit personally it has been just remakes and remaster from them grabbing me. But what games!

Simple they announced/showed the most things I’m actually going to buy. Most of which are coming this year. If I had the hard on for FFVII that everyone else has, I’d probably prefer the Square conference, but I don’t. Plus the Avengers announcement was woefully underwhelming.

I think the “breathtaking” Keanu Reaves making an appearance was the highlight of this E3.

Out of all the junk on display I only want Psychonauts 2, but what Double Fine presented was not exactly exciting or inspiring. I suppose Final Fantasy VII Remake had a good trailer, but the inner workings of the game and how final they are remain a mystery.

I hope so… I played the 2nd one and I uninstalled it after a few hours. The story wasn’t that interesting to begin with but the battles were a snore fest holy shit. Easiest game E V E R. Plus I didn’t care about those weird army battle mechanics.

some highlights:

  • Unlike Secret of Mana , the reason we are making a significantly bolder remake with this game is because this title was never released overseas, so we hope to introduce it as a completely new title.
  • The original concept of the Mana series was something along the lines of, “seamlessly play the Final Fantasy series’ ATB battle system.” We called what we ended up with “motion battle,” we weren’t saying it was an action RPG at that time.
  • In Secret of Mana , you were able to fight while changing weapons, but since your weapons were fixed in Trials of Mana , we heard from users that was no good, so with the remake we wanted to fix that.
  • While this is probably the most action-heavy game in the series, it is an action RPG through and through, so you enjoy the game even if you’re not good at it so long as you level up.
  • There is no multiplayer.
  • Event scenes are pretty much fully voiced. 30-plus characters all have proper voices.

I bet they will lower the difficulty to a pussy level. The amount of ass kicking I received while playing Seiken Densetsu 3 back in the day was unreal.
