I kept forgetting to get this one; annnnd I probably missed the sale recently on eShop; it was on sale for 11.99, I think… I’ll still get it even at regular price. The thing that lures me in is the amazing art and animation in that… it is definitely on another level visually.
X5 is dogshit, Game is interrupted every 10 seconds. X6 is for real men, though fuck the museum stage.

FAQ about P5 Royal
tl;dr
Save data from the original P5 won’t carry over stats and the Persona Compendium. Having it will unlock a bonus at the start of the game.
No plans to release it outside of the PS4
Purchased DLC for P5 will have to be re-purchase at a heavily discount. (The FAQ has the re-purchase price at “one content for 10 yen”)

PS4 saves not really carrying over was confirmed a month or so ago in an interview with Famitsu. Kinda wish they changed their mind about it though, since I’m not looking forward to having to redo everything (and I didn’t even get to finish the original). That said, the same interview said that leveling would be easier as well, so we’ll see.

The is vintage Atlus, damn near every SMT game has gotten a expanded re-release since SMT 3, where they basically sell the game again, with a new character, either director cut type changes or a new playable epilogue. You would think after Sega bought them out they wouldn’t need to resort to such tactics especially in the age of DLC but I guess I am wrong.

Why not, 90% of the Re-hashed game already made. For minimal work you revamp a game, re-release it at full price, and people will buy it.
Dammit Atlus. Even Capcom has learned and has instead dropped the whole “G-Rank re-release” thing with Monster Hunter World.

Pretty sure the software is the point…is for me anyway. Rarely is power a deciding factor.
