First exclusive game: Baldur’s Gate III by Larian Studios, launch title
~35mpbs connection required for optimal 4K/60fps playback. ~10mpbs should be enough for 720p playback
Some of the other launch titles include Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Gylt (third person horror game about a little girl in a Silent Hill-ish town) by Tequila Works, Get Packed (top-down 4-player breaking shit simulator) by Moonshine Studios, and The Division 2
Stadio Pro, a subscription for 10$/month, which as I understand will include a selection of games like PS Plus, XBL Gold and NSO. They didn’t mention how often new games will be added. Also apparently Dolby 5.1 and 4k resolution will be exclusive to Pro subscribers, 1080p is the highest resolution you get as a regular user
Stadia Founder’s Edition. Will include early access to the service + Chromecast Ultra + 3 months of Pro (with friend passes to gift Pro to somebody else) + limited Night Blue color controller. You can pre-order Founder’s Edition now (pre-ordering subscriptions wtf)
Stadia will launch in 14 countries “later this year”: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Canada, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, France, Spain, Sweden, Germany, UK, Ireland, and USA. More countries to follow in 2020
Destiny 2 is getting a Stadia release, and the complete edition of the game will also be a part of the Founder’s Edition. Also the datamine about next Expansion being called Shadowkeep was confirmed, Bungie have shown a reveal trailer. You’ll be able to import your character from other platforms
Stadia Base is what they call a traditional store where you’ll be able to just buy games outright
More titles in Stadia’s lineup: Rage 2, Trials Fusion, Farming Simulator 19, The Crew 2, MK11, Doom Eternal, SamSho 2019, GRID, FM (unannounced title?), Power Rangers Battle for the Grid, TES Online, Darksiders Genesis, Wolfenstein Youngblood, Just Dance, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Xenoverse 2, Thumper, FF XV, Metro Exodus
I finally sat down and played through Mega Man X7. The game is really bad, but I don’t think it is Superman 64 bad. IMO if the camera was not zoomed in so far the game would have been much, MUCH better. It’s strange because Mega Man Legends had such a nice 3d system that it was actually fun to play, especially Legends 2 with the shoulder buttons and dual stick playstyle. It took me a couple of days to play through because I could only do a few levels at a time before getting too frustrated. Most of the boss fights involve you fighting the enemy, the camera and invisible walls strung up for no reason.
The American VA in X7 is God awful though, I really recommend playing with Japanese voices on if you have the new collection.
X7 is a disaster and sadly from a company with well more then enough exp to avoid this kind of train wreck. Games pedigree is where most of my frustration with X7 comes from.
X5-X8 were garbage. X5 and X8 are the only ones semi playable. X5 was supposed to be a definitive ending to the X series according to Inafune but Capcom was like “naw. We’re going to make more”
Even though I have realistically low expectations of Stadia, I might end up pre-ordering it anyway just because it comes with a Chromecast Ultra I’m going to eventually purchase one way or another.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Stadia looks like shit to me. Paying $600 over 5 years for no hardware and an always on line experience. That is a big box of nope for me.
