I was 50/50 on physical vs digital until this gen. Now I prefer digital not only because I have a ton of old games sitting around from older consoles, but if I’m away and want to play something via remote play, I don’t have to worry about having that disc in the console.
Besides, it’s not like Sony or Microsoft are going away and leaving no way to download stuff you’ve bought digitally. And if they ever do, by the time that happens, those games/consoles will be pretty old anyway.

hmm…the big content apparently is not quite ready yet but the patch for Dead Cells already downloaded for me on the Switch version, and I’m already seeing some new enemies in the starting area…hell yeah, man 
Meanwhile in Smash I finally got Joker yesterday and began playing the character; quite a bit of fun there… I’m still in the mood to make more new ones via the Miis though… the frustration of the pitiful Mii customization options (on the system itself, not Smash) continues to wound my very soul 
they don’t even have ears! It’s like what would happen if a dev team whipped up a “character creator” but only had about 3 or 4 minutes and an extremely low budget to produce that whole damn thing. The ones I have been able to create with at least some degree of satisfaction have been fun though.

I’m a download type of guy, but as far as archiving goes, it’s screwing over video game history. For example, Scott Pilgrim Vs the World was a digital download game only and isn’t available on any platform anymore, so essentially that game is lost to the ether. That sucks cause that game was awesome, had a killer OST (recorded by anamanaguchi) and the PS3 i had it on is long gone.

Another reminder that a good part of MvCI failing was due to Marvel. Including why it isn’t getting the main stage at tournaments (Marvel apparently wouldn’t let it be at tournaments like Evo).
