American Fugitive looks awesome. It is like the PS1 Grand Theft Autos updated to modern standards.

Brothers coming to switch is cool. I think I have it on PS4? I legit don’t remember.

Edit: Had it on PS3. I don’t think I ever played it though.

So since Dauntless launched today on PS4, I’ve decided to check it out.

Basically it’s just a casualised version of Monster Hunter with Fortnite visuals and wack character designs. The combat is simplified, there’s no mounting, the hit detection is all server-side, you can’t change equipment mid-hunt, there’s no mid-air attacks, the monsters seem to be pretty basic in their attacks and patterns, and there’s only 6 weapon types - Swords, Axes, Hammers, Chain Blades (think Axl from Guilty Gear), Pikes, and Pistols. Crafting/upgrade system is also really basic

On the plus sides I’d put the Cells system, which is like mini-perks for your equipment (you can fuse Cells together to make them stronger), a nice selection of customization (with transmogs/colors for all of your equipment), and the Mastery system, which is there to add replayability to each of the Hunts (e.g. kill this monster with this weapon) and to entice you to use different weapon types, though the rewards are rather disappointing (basically boils down to max upgrade level and special traits)

However it’s F2P so I guess it could be worse. All the standard Season Pass and microtransations stuff is naturally also here.

Also if for whatever reason you’d want to check it out - just play it on PC. The game’s framerate tanks on base PS4 (and probably isn’t doing much better on the Pro).

TL;DR buy Monster Hunter: World lol

That’s the part that really kills it for me. Fuck NO to latency dependant dodging.

…oh…which tells me it’s obviously online-only…yeah fuck that trash then. A shame; I thought it had a nice look/style, at least visually…I was mildly interested at first.

I finally got the Capcom Beatemup Bundle on Switch since it has been on sale for 12 bucks; so far it has definitely been worth that price… I had never even heard of Battle Circuit until this Bundle was produced. Unfortunately that game with the wizard, warrior, cleric, etc. is disappointingly simple though.

This is pretty much the only reason I’ve even contemplated getting it. Since it’s essentially 50% off.

Yeah, even in totally solo play it always has to be online. Ridiculous lol

Oh. I don’t know who likes xenodrifter On here…I remember a lot of people liking it. Anyways. its on sale in the Nintendo Switch eShop right now for $2.

Yooo…I’m gonna see if I can snatch that Capcom beat’em up deal tonight.

yeah, did the same the other day. Games are great in bursts and fun to replay, it’s cool to have it for a collector’s ‘item’. Kinda wished I imported the physical version instead since it’s to physically have a cool collection like this.

DAY JUAN

Wingstick edition didn’t cost any extra $$ at all. The wingstick is cheap as hell, but the big box it comes in with the game is fuego :fire:

Paid 30 bucks CAD for RAGE 2 taxes in by buying and trading 3 crap games which is like 22 bucks in Americani rubles. paid 22 bucks taxes in for Sanic, traded in 2 then paid the difference which is 16-something Americano sheckles. So cheap. I plan to abuse the trade in deals as always with Bloodstained, the Crash kart racer remake, Judgement and maybe Sam Sho.

I might play Sanic a bit today, but in more hype news…

NEW PATH OF EXILE EXPANSION HOLY CANOLI

POG

The best Action RPG of all time keeps getting better. A F2P game that gets a new expansion every 3 goddamn months. So far it has more content and has seen more updates than Diablo 1, 2, 3, Sacred 1 & 2, Grim Yawn and the Dungeon Siege series combined. Sweet jesus.

I put in a few hours into Team Sonic Racing. The racing mechanics feel identical to Transformed. If your familiar racing in that game then you can jump right in. The learning curve is learning the team mechanics and the new power ups. The tracks are absurdly wide and it’s to accolade the team mechanics like Skimboost, and Slingshot. I’m still getting use to them and you gonna need them for when things get hectic and build meter for ultimate. There’s a lot one track I know of that’s been reused from the last two games with little changes to it’s track design.

The game has a story campaign. Nothing to write home about here other than the characters believing the whole thing is a scheme by Eggman and are playing along with it until he reveals himself. There’s a world map for track progression which is cool. So far I’m liking it.

Despite that trailer only being a little over a minute thirty it felt like a fucking eternity.

It looks like a weird Ni No Kuni x Zelda hybrid but with literally none of the charm or creativity.

NPD April 2019

So MK11 DESTROYED April. I don’t think you’re understanding exactly what I mean by ‘destroyed’ here. This game got took #1 across ALL consoles it released on…that INCLUDES the Switch. This is the first time a 3rd party has taken over the Switch chart since Ubisoft’s Mario & Rabbids game and this is without help from a Nintendo IP to sell it. It did so well that it instantly took the #2 spot for games sold for the year.

Switch was the top selling platform for the month of April.

Software numbers

April 2019 top 20
MK 11, Days Gone (and this is despite the lukewarm reception, apparently this is Sony’s 7th largest launch ever for a Sony title), MLB 19 The Show, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Smash Ultimate, GTAV, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, CoD:Blops 4, NBA 2K19, Yoshi’s Crafted World, RDR II, MK8D, Ass Creed Odyssey, Minecraft, NSMBUD, FFX/X-2 Remaster (back on the list eh?), LoZ BotW, Jump Force, Battlefield V, Borderlands

Best selling games of 2019 so far
KH 3, MK11, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Anthem, REmake 2, Smash Ultimate, RDR II, Sekiro: SDT, Jump Force, MLB 19 The Show

PS4 top 10 April 2019
MK11, Days Gone, MLB19: The Show, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Sekiro: SDT, CoD: Blops 4, NBA 2K19, RDR II, GTA V, Spider-Man (still going strong!)

Xbone top 10 April 2019
MK11, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, CoD Blops 4, GTA V, RDR II, NBA 2K19, Sekiro: SDT, Ass Creed Odyssey, Forza Horizon 4, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection (curious about this since the list for top 20 just says Borderlands, if it’s in fact the Handsome Collection then that means Xbone is mostly responsible for the game showing up in top 20)

Switch top 10 April 2019
MK11, Smash Ultimate, Yoshi’s Crafted World, MK8D, NSMBUD, LoZ:BotW, Super Mario Party, Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster (heeeey!), Super Mario Odyssey, Labo Toy-Con 04 VR Kit

I find this really funny and interesting since Squee is pissed about how much KH3 has undersold.

Square should be happy that people still care about their Cosplay Gibberish game.
