Grabbed Batman - Return to Arkham as part of the PS+ Sale.
In revisiting the games, I do wonder why Arkham Origins was disliked by many. I enjoyed it overall better than Arkham Knight, especially because you actually fought boss battles.

I hope Dante is broken in Smash. I want 5 Dantes in evo top 8, amd all the smashers booing them. Need another shit show so that we can stop pretending smashers are civilized people, much less part of the FGC.

A lot of people don’t consider it canon because it wasn’t made by rocksteady. And it’s gameplay was significantly watered down.
Which is funny cuz it’s gameplay just builds on City including new enemy types that force you to do more then just counter once for victory.
I loved Origins. Scary Batman is best Batman.Try Bakers Joker was fucking top notch. I like all the Arkham games tho…

That’s what I thought as well. Seemed like there was more to do without it being annoying. Sure it was a cash grab for the WB devs, but it was still a really solid game.
You also had this moment, which is by far one of the best in Batman boss battles. I remember getting ready for the fight LOL

Yea Arkham Knights identity was obvious from the very first trailer lol.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Origins, but did not enjoy detective vision and Enigma. The plot twist at the end also discarded one of the most unique aspects of the game.
The backstory of the Arkham Knight is pure dejavu to the point that the alterego serves no purpose.
If I do have a complaint with Origins, it’s how the crime scenes point you to exactly the solution step by step. If they would illuminate those stupid red triangles it would actually be a cool, fun set of puzzles. As is it’s just connect the the dots. Unfortunate.

I died when that moment happened. I was seriously getting myself situated and hit a single button and it was over. Stuff like that brought home the “I’m Batman” line.

Well if only one DMC gets ported to the Switch I’m glad it’s the first one since it used to be my favorite, but now second favorite. Hilarious.
Looks like I’m going to have to get Smash at some point, if Dante really is in the game.
