Oh, yeah.
I have been burned A LOT of times by Best Buy, in the past.
But they’ve really cleaned up their act in the last few years, it seems.
I think it is due to Amazon.

Good watch and relevant to why they’re doing so much better as a company these days. Also just a really good YouTube channel.
Absolutely. They’ve had to evolve their policies in order to stay relevant in the online shopping era. Price matching was No. 1. So many people would go to BB and look at which TV they wanted to buy and then order it from Amazon right there in the store.
Then BB began to develop their online presence. I get free shipping, release day delivery, and cash rewards. They’ve done a great job of keeping up.
Can’t say I’ve ever had any trouble with customer service, except for when I broke bad on a poor guy during a credit card payment dispute. I recently purchased a washer and dryer using my BB credit card, so I would get 5 percent back in rewards. My intention was to pay it off immediately after the charge went through, so I could then use it buy a new TV. Unfortunately, you can’t pay your balance off until a full billing cycle goes through, so my payment was rejected (LOLWUT). In what kind of fucked up policy are you not allowed to pay off your debt to a creditor? Dumb shit.
I just got done fighting the Green Chronos user that I can’t rememeber the name of at the moment. Was pretty fun learning that fight and now the game appears to forcing the character to do somethingbin the story that’s pretty dark. Reeeally hoping that my initial suspicions when they introduced that kid on the same floor as you don’t wind up coming true.
Also playing as the Real Dragon for that hot second was awesome. That char is OP!
If you don’t know WTF you are ordering on Amazon or where it is coming from then the problem is PEBCAK.
They are pretty much the only place I buy games at launch from and has been that way for a decade or so. I’ve never had an issue with getting a game at launch on launch day.
That was mostly due to internal sabotage and mismanagement. Sega has the biggest library of highest quality IPs but rarely releases sequels. Nintendo on the other hand has released so much of the same that they have grown stale. They are fortunate that the Switch took off as it did. For some reason they have become the Apple of the video games. Even if their tech is weak and barely gets the job done their loyalists pony up for their brand of software.
That’s what sticks are for.
Yup.
Lol.
Sales and reviews from critics and fans alike say otherwise.
Yeah. The Wii U was a mess. I’m glad nintendo recovered from that too. They were no where near the brink of going under, nor will they ever be. The Wii U hurt their image a lot though.
Nintendo has never been known for how powerful their tech was/is. But how to best profit and use the tech they decide to use. I agree with the Apple statement but for different reasons.
People like good games and good IP’s. No doubt there have been missteps along the way but that hasn’t damaged any of the IP’s in the long run. They have a treasure trove of priceless IP’s.
Sega has some great IPs.
He is right on that front.
But, then again: Nintendo.
Didn’t say they didn’t. I just disagree with context he put them in.
Nintendo’s IPs are respected by all for their legacy, but they are in stasis as Nintendo rarely makes more than a single change to the gameplay design. For most franchises there is a clear evolution, but this is not the case for Nintendo’s IPs. Those changes are enough to warrant a purchase for most of their customer base but I have higher standards. Their titles outside of the curious Smash Bros. (which carved a genre of its own) no longer have the lead in any genre.
P.S. When I say great IPs I am certainly not referring to Sonic.
Agreed.
Lol. Yeah. We know. You’ve talked about your “standards” several times. They’re pretty funny.
This is really not true but at the same time: if ain’t broke why try to fix it?
Also not true. Also, why is Smash bros curious? It’s an amalgamation of all of Nintendo’s biggest IP’s and several companies they’ve worked with in one setting. It’s everyones literal dream journal who grew up during the console wars. I may think the series is garbage from a gameplay stand point but it’s easy to understand why people are drawn to it and why the titles in the series sell well.
I know.
What other genres do you think they have a lead in and what is their greatest title in that genre?
This discussion is dumb. So I’m done. No matter what I say or what factual evidence I bring you’ll just dismiss it, “yeah but” it or say some other high and mighty, thinking you’re opinion is better than anyone else’s here garbage you always spout regardless of the topic or situation at hand. So…
So here’s a fun Splatoon x Cowboy Bebop gif.
They have the lead in Mario genre with the greatest being Odyssey.
They have the lead in Zelda genre with the greatest being BotW.
They have the lead in the Metroid genre with the greatest being MP4 (I’m psychic, shut up).
They have the lead in Splatoon genre, with the greatest being Splatoon 2.
They have the lead in Smash genre, with the greatest being Ultimate.
They have the lead in the Mario Kart genre with the greatest being 8D (8D is also the size of your dick and balls. Mine’s like this 8========D).
They have the lead in stfu.
Those aren’t genres… You should follow your own advice.
I don’t shut up, I grow up, and when I read your posts I throw up.
