Kotal Khan’s moves look sick. Lore wise, I think he wasn’t very strong, he got beaten a lot in MKX story. I may be misremembering.
Something I see brought up with Stadia is, Google has YouTube and the most popular search engine. Latency aside this has the potential to be a game changer, seeing as they can add a ‘Play Now’ button to a trailer on YT and off the search engine, when you type the name of the game you look for.
You get a ‘Instant game’ instead of, looking it up on google, then going to wherever store front, website or B&M store. It might not seem like a big deal now but just one less step let’s you game.
I’m still not getting in on the streaming but I think it could end up more popular than initially thought.
The Battletoads game they announced last year would be great for the Switch. Assuming it’s a beat em up.
Yeah, assuming they go with a subscription model it would be that simple. Even then though you have the issue of data caps and the like which would eventually put a dampener on that as well. Unless they have some special deal with IPs.
Google itself is an ISP. They could wave the cap or give allowances to people who are using Google fiber.
True enough
The tech means Jack-squat without the infrastructure first, and in the US it is simply not there. More than half of American homes are outside of high speed broadband service areas.
Some townships still have only dialup or equally as slow satellite internet.
If Google wants their console service to work. they need to first make their Google fiber internet service in place in every town and city first.
That will be hard for them as they are pulling out of some areas. Google is dropping Louisville calling it a failed experiment.
Yeah, which is why I made a post about infrastructure earlier. The point of the post you replied to directly is simply that that kind of thing can be solved, but the input lag cannot be.
On the topic of Cuphead again. After the DLC drops Studio MDHR are going to release complete physical versions for Xbone and Switch with them looking into Collector’s Editions with extra goodies.
Tried to quote for those that don’t want to give clicks.
Physical versions, yes! On Xbox and Switch…not sure about PC (cuz who buys physical PC games?)
They’ll come after the DLC drops so that everything will be patched up and on disk as the final final FINAL version of Cuphead.
We’re looking into what we want to do with the physical versions (there’ll probably be some goodies in the case), and as with all Cuphead things, it’ll take some time. But they’ll exist…eventually.
EDIT: Oh shit! There’s a post mortem about the Saturn Panzer Dragoon games going on at GDC. It’s being updated via twitter but will have a video later on the GDC Vault, which will be here https://www.gdcvault.com/ and I’m guessing YouTube.
Following the DMCV thread confirms my points about PC gaming still being a crap shoot and a hassle.
In all honesty. I have only had problems running capcom games on PC. DMCV is the third capcom game I had trouble with. The other 2 were SFV when it was free a while back and the other was RE2. But I got RE2 working.
The point is that you had to get it worming at all. Consoles wont go away because this is a thing.
Every other PC game I’ve ever owned I’ve never had such problems though, man. Just saying.
Im just sayajin.
Oh damn! It lives!
Still a ways off since this news is about auditions for a second character…
I believe that when the nation starts to treat descent highspeed broadband internet as a required utility and not a luxury. Till then, No.
Even after, no. It plays too much with gaming as a service instead of a product.
