Be tough to advance the story after RDR1 for a couple different reasons.

I get that.

That’s why I also said ā€œor start a new one.ā€

Technically it is a new one. Dont know this story or Morgan. Know a bit about the people around him, a good deal about John but that’s kind of it.

I personally don’t mind a prequel of this type (or prequels in general) so long as the story is good.

Besides I can’t hate Prequels I love DMC3.

As someone who plays mobile games(gacha games to be specific), it’s not unusual for a company to collaborate with an existing mobile game’s developer and make their own version. SE did this with FF Brave Exvius for example.

So Diablo Immortal could be good, but it’s still disappointing because I think D3 is ass and I’m not a fan of these action games with virtual buttons on a phone.

I have nothing against prequels. I feel they get a lot of unwarranted hate.

ooooooh we have quite the Hindenberg disaster in progress here with Diablo Immortal… the like/dislike ratio on the official trailer for the thing is hilarious… at the time I’m writing this it is 8.5k likes vs. 244k dislikes  …oh and I’m hearing they keep deleting comments too. Outstanding.

I’ll never understand why internet people don’t just simply ignore the stuff they’re not interested in. That would save a lot of time for every party involved.

The media already running defense articles for it. Forbes got an article telling people to calm down. Like, how could they not expect a backlash when you hype up a mobile game.

The problem here is that Blizzard was teasing something new for Diablo for a while now. Best guesses being a remaster of 2 or a Diablo 4. For all that teasing and hype ending up being a mobile announcement rubbed fans the wrong way.

:sunglasses: bored and added audio to someones video

Yeah, you should be careful about hyping something up and I said somewhere else that Blizzcon is definitely the wrong place to announce a game fans don’t really want. That’s more of an E3 kind of game to announce in between other stuff and make shareholders happy.

I think it’s a good thing we didn’t see a Diablo II remaster. Knowing Blizzard they’d just make it look like World of Warcraft, Overwatch, DIII and all of their other recent games AKA the same fucking artstyle across every single title.

Thank god for Path of Exile. http://www.playdiablo4.co <-- if you complete that link it takes you to…the official Path of Exile website. GGG you goddamn geniuses.

My only complaint with Tactics Ogre on PSP is that recruiting unique characters requires too many extremely specific steps. Like so fucking specific i dont believe for even a second anyone figured out how to recruit half these people without a guide. Dont kill them in this fight tho they are super strong and trying to kill you. Now read this side text burried in a menue so you can save them from this side fight that only shows id you read that side text in the menu, now 4 hours later being this new recruit with you to a fight they qill die in 1 hit in, get the leqder of said fight down to 70% hp then those tqo will have a fucking conversation that you have to see every single part of so thats 3 to 4 turns burnt trying to get thia convo to come out (this is the part i fucked up) and then go back to that same location two hours later and once again don’t kill this person you have been trying to recruit for like 8 hours now and they will finally join.

Who the fuck came up with thia recruit quest line? What kind of.giant fucking assholes do you have to be to make is this fucking specific and contextual heavy and so god damn easy to miss? No one figured out how to recruit Ravness on their own, not one person, shiys way too obscure and compmicated and easily fucked up for anyone to figure this horse shit on their own. Game doesn’t even hint that recruited character you need to talk to that boss even fucking knows said boss OR Ravness. It’s so fucking random and out of left field. So dumb.

I just missed out recruiting the character I’ve been playing the whole fucking game to recruit because I missed an in battle conversation 2 fights ago. Have saved since so I can’t go back and me previous save is like 5 hours ago. That’s so annoying, recruiting characters in this game take 5 or 6 very very specific steps that are sooooo fucking easy to screw up. That’s so dumb in a long ass rpg. An FFT style rpg where all the fights are like 10 to 15 minutes long a pop if you’re rushing.

Have to go back 5 fucking hours to the previous damn chapter to try again, propblem is I don’t even want to play anymore. They made recryiting unquies in this game so fucking hard and obnoxious and annoying that I’m just kind of losing interest. The Generic units are fun an all, but they pale in comparison to the unique units and until FFT, the generics never really manage to catch up to the unique units so legit just making the game harder for no real reason.

Edit: And fuck whoever thought it was a good idea to leave the icon over the load option instead of the save option after you have loaded a save. Just mashed myself into having to redo a fight hahaha.

I’d say I hate prequels too but fuck I love Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep.

I’m just far more interested in how well something is done then the way the thing is described. If you have a good prequel story to tell and you tell it well, then by all means.

That is… so many JRPGs and TJRPGs, it isn’t even funny.

…I just reloaded a, fortunately only half an hour loss, of a save file, in Tales of the Abyss… because I forgot to backtrack to that place, to talk to that one guy, after doing that one thing, at that other place.

Blizzard deleted and reuploaded the Diablo: Immortal video twice as an attempt to wipe out the dislikes.

PoE reddit has had an influx of Diablo players and searches for the game on Google went through the roof after the announcement.

PoE is a good game.

WAY better than D3.

It just isn’t MY kind of D2.

I like having offline.

And I prefer GD’s character building, itemization, and, ultimately, it’s gameplay.

But PoE is great if you don’t mind hustling the economy for days on end to get the kit you need, and can accept that all of your kit goes poof when the servers do.

Please stop comparing a game you haven’t played since beta to a game you’re playing now. You said yourself in Discord you haven’t played it in 3 years. In that time the game has seen more updates and content than DII+D3+Grim Dawn combined.

It’s the top dog in it’s genre and nothing comes close. I know because I’ve played them all. Having cooldowns tied to your mobility skills and your most fun skills(Grim Dawn, Diablo III) is the complete opposite of fun and is not what an ARPG is all about. ARPG’s are about going fucking nuts with the character you’ve built, not worrying about whether or not you can use your dash skill because it may or may not be on a cooldown(the lead dev of D3 almost exclusively made RTS games up until D3 and it shows in its gameplay.)

The developers of PoE withdrew everything from their bank accounts and put their livelihoods on the line to get the game up and running. The game is more successful than it’s ever been, is one of the top games on Twitch, and gets new content every 3 months. It’s not going anywhere for a long, long time.

If you want to give PoE another shot we have a guild with me, Boel, ElderGOD the rock crusher, Manx, Shaft Agent, Pedoviejo and others who all play pretty regularly. The game is literally nothing like it was in beta. The game had a whopping 2 acts back then, it now has ten with end-game content out the ass.

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS tier with 1000’s of hours and I’m still having a blast playing this game. There’s nothing else like it on the market that even comes close to what this game has to offer in the gameplay department. It’s one of the best games I’ve played period and is one of the deepest and most rewarding games I’ve played as well.

Shit, even David Brevik(D1 and D2 lead dev) streams the game with his wife.
