I only played God of War 1 but what happened with Kratos that now he’s like some single viking dude with a kid and no chaos blades? I thought the white skin was the ashes of his family?
EDIT: Btw he has Joel’s walk/run cycle from the Last of Us. cut/paste
@crotchpuncha have you tried a VR type headset? I think if you haven’t that might be why you don’t really buy into. That or maybe your not that hardcore into the experience (not an insult in anyway).
Think of it like this, why do people burn so much money on HD headsets? Why do racing game fans burn so much on racing wheels, chairs, and headsets as well? People that are that into something are willing to spend the necessary amount of cash to feel that much more in the game. VR is a step in that direction of being in the game for some folks.
Some people just can’t understand it. Same might go for some weird thing you or anyone else buys that people’ll question you about. That change in sound, or in this case perspective, means alot to the crowd it’s aimed at.
After playing racing sims with a proper wheel setup (logitech G27 ftw) I literally can’t play a racing game ever again without it. It spoiled the shit out of me where as racing games are boring without it.
You got alot to catch up on. Just stick to the main three games. Btw GoW4 looks alot like Hellblade in combat. Only it’s more eccentric which really separates the sort of audience it’ll grab.
Screw the haters, RE:VII looks legit and the fact that it’s VR now will truly put yourself into those situations. I’m all up for something new to the table with the series, considering it cannot be worse than RE:VI in which it felt like I was playing a beatem up game + CoD combined. We weren’t even playing it, but just simply watching a trailer and you could hear the live audience gasping and groaning on what was happening, it was unbelievable so to actually play the game like this is going to be mind blowing.
Sony overall has had the best presentation, this in part was due to the games, the flow and pace from one game to the next, the live orchestra (<— This Helped Tremendously) in which all combined to keep your emotions heightened. Not saying it was perfect (because that Crash part was a let down imo), but in contrast to everyone before them, they’ve been the best thus far.
Going to enjoy seeing what Nintendo is going to bring tomorrow because if they don’t, then Sony would’ve been Top-Tier 2x in a row.
People still mad about Sutherland being the voice for Snake in MGSV?
If you play the game, it makes total sense that they used a different voice actor. It doesn’t meant that the story wasn’t dumb as fuck (because it was) but Sutherland being used instead of Hayter was 100% reasonable.
Immersion sums of what you are saying perfectly. Not saying VR provides that as I have no prior experience with it. But I am willing to give it a shot. From my understanding this things will be extremely limited when they first drop… So if you don’t like it just sell that shit.
Hell I may cop just to sell to see if I can double up real fast and cop when they are more readily available.
Supposedly Kojima was on Youtube stream and he said Death Stranding doesn’t even have an engine yet. And for right now Del Toro isn’t involved.
Sony Santa Monica was apparently also on the Youtube stream. Kratos is going to be the only character you play, it’s norse mythology timeline, and it is not an open world game. It’s ‘Coming Soon’. Possibly next year I guess.
I’m simply not jumping to conclusions. The trailer show a man exploring a rotted out mansion. It didn’t show any interaction with hostiles. When I see footage of the character hiding in a closet or under a bed to avoid a monster and not fight it at any point then I’ll cry running simulator.
