they’re only calling it upgraded to not piss people off. xbox scorpio is edging up to 4 times more powerful than the ps4, they want to keep their market stable so they’re gonna keep it as synced as possible

Why? Why does when you said it matter? Why should I care? I can’t afford a VR headset anyway, so this is all pointless to me right now. Hell only thing I’d ever care to play with VR is Deus Ex (any of them), and not enough to shell out for a headset. Otherwise I don’t really care that much, I haven’t seen any original VR content that interests me at all.

with new tech coming out it’s getting easier to use cheaper hardware for VR. there’s already an alternative to the Rift and Vive for half the price coming out in a couple of months.

its true though, at the moment getting into VR isn’t straight forward. just get ready for how amazing VR is now and how bonkers it will become in the very near future

Looking at the Xbox One S, Microsoft is only sold half of its initial projected Xbox One consoles.
Stores are not getting any new stock in unless it’s a limited edition bundle for the console.

The Xbox One S is just going to sit there on store shelves and collect dust.

I’m actually considering buying one. They’re $100 cheaper than a UHD Bluray player is right now, and I’v never owned an Xbox before. I’ve been wanting a UHD player for a while, but could never justify it. The Xbone S might be what I’m looking for.

Of course, then they announced the Scorpio just a year out. I can’t imagine how much that’s going to cost, so I probably won’t jump on it immediately anyway, or whatever the PlayStation equivalent will be.

the scorpio is using a GPU that is on par with the rx-480. which will cost $199. if the price of the scorpio is approaching three times that price then you may aswell build a monster PC with that gpu for the same price
