Nintendo builds consoles as a tool; Sony and Microsoft build consoles as a convenience. the only reason they haven’t changed their controllers is because they can make more money by keeping it the same. gaming is stagnant due to all games revolving around the same type of controller, arcades died because of consoles, gaming has become something personal instead of a shared experience.
with VR the potential for social interaction is so ridiculously high facebook bought a VR company for 2 billion dollars. the potential for multimodality in gaming in VR is so high that it expands immersion to the point of people forgetting they’re actually playing a game. the potential for healthier gaming is so high that not only is it good for your body (non seated VR) its also good for managing gaming satisfaction

People who think VR is going to go anywhere are deluded out of their minds. The only utility it will have is for hentai.
It’s prohibitively expensive and the VR companies aren’t helping each other, so developers have to develop apps for specific VR platforms. Something that goes on HTC Vive won’t work on Oculus and vice versa. So for those reasons it’s not going to go anywhere.
Sony went all out… Got that full blown orchestra in the Opera house.

Looks like some sort of orchestral stuff is going on…very possible this is the start of God of War 4 showing. I shouldn’t be chuckling at this lady who is doing a half beat box while hitting this drum but I wasn’t expecting this. This music does sound like it could belong in a God of War game a bit but they still haven’t shown what it’s for. Lol the sony fanboys in the crowd. Sony Sony Sony. Yeah it’s old man Kratos! I’m not sure they’re still using TC Carson for him or not to be honest. Wow…this game looks WAAAY more open world now. Looks like Kratos has a son who he’s trying to get to hunt. They’re in a wilderness with soft snow on the ground. Kratos is giving this kid some hard tough love right now. Kratos is using an Axe and his hands to beat the stuffing out of the enemies that just appeared. And apparently he can call his axe back to him like mjolnir. Some big ugly due just came out of nowhere and he’s not attacking Kratos and the kid. This thing has a big ass slab of wood. Kratos is going to town on this guys leg. Looks like he’s tossing fire and lava. Looks like he’s trying to drive the thing off the cliff. Looks like the thing is trying to break the water that they’re on and Kratos went into spartan rage and beat the shit out this thing’s face. He told the kid to help him kill it and fire and arrow but he missed and hit kratos instead. Surprising kratos did not split this kid into 2. Apparently it was just a Troll? That’s some Troll. He’s still trying to teach the kid about hunting. Forgot to mention while this is going on the orchestra is playing music for the scene. He helped him stab the deer after putting an arrow into it. Game looks quite stunning visually as expected of Sony Santa Monica. Fog unveils over the cliff those 2 are at and there’s dragon’s and all that stuff about. Apparently the game is just called God of War.
Shawn Layden is now taking the stage. Beary Mcreary is doing the music for God of War…wait…where have I heard that before? Shawn Layden is talking about the massacre in Florida. Just looked it up…Bear Mcreary does the music for The Walking Dead TV show.
Bend Studio game is up now. Looks post apocalyptic, no sign of any zombies or infected or anything yet. The Main character looks a lot like Starkiller from Star Wars Unleashed. Main character is a bounty Hunter. New game is called Days Gone.
Moving onwards to another game. It looks like Last Guardian. I’m pretty sure it is. Yuuup it’s Last Guardian. Showing various scenes of the game in this trailer. Little boy petting the gryphon dog. Apparently there’s another one that looks like he means harm to the kid. Game is coming out Oct. 25th. Damn!
And now we’re gonna move on to Horizon Zero Dawn. Looks like a gameplay walkthrough trailer. Game is as lush and as pretty as can be. Sony is already starting out better imo good lord. Main protagonist starts a e with some uh…large robot crab enemies to gry and get some supplies. Now she’s crafting and made an explosive trap. Someone is begin chased by one of these biomechanical monsters and she kills it then loots it. Looks like you can give different answers to questions when you talk to other folk. Possible you may have some slight control of the story perhaps? Pulls out the map and shows a bit of the world…this game is pretty damn big. She sees her destination and knows it’s gonna be too long to go so she attacks one of the bio mechanical elks, pins it down then gets it to do her bidding with her staff. She’s now riding it towards her destination. Some of these biomachanical monsters are remind me of XCX in terms of size in relationship to the protagonist. Looks like some of the biomech creatures may be able to corrupt some of the others as she’s getting into a fight with a ‘Corrupter’. OH shit we throwing boulders! She nearly dodged it and now she called her bio mech elk to her with a whistle and is firing at the ‘corrupter’ while circling it. She’s too fast for a minute but eventually her steed gets killed. NOw she’s pinning it down. She kills the ‘Corrupter’s’ weak spot with an arrow and downs it after pinning it. My god this game…just inject it into my veins please.
Quantic Dream’s game is up. It’s that game that they announced last E3 that I can’t remember the name of at the moment. Android is investigating a hostage situation. This android is holding a lil girl at gun point and the protagonist is trying to get him to stop. Aaaaaand he fails…both of them take the plunge off the building. Looks like a game where your decisions matter and what not and everything is supposed to have consequences. Various different outcomes are shown on what could have happened. Protagonists name is Connor. Game is Detroit: Become Human. Sure my wife will love this game.
Now we’re moving on to a PSVR game. Game starts with a phone ringing with a guy laying on the ground. He answers the phone and the lady tells him that if he doesn’t get out they will kill you. Uh…Lady I JUST woke up… He sees some naked mannequins and this house he is in is completely run down. There’s shit everywhere…doesn’t look like anyone has been in this house for some time. Opens a pot and a big ass roach crawls on his arm. Just so you know this is being shown from a first person perspective as if you are wearing the VR helmet. Just got spooked…saw some dude walk past the door aaand you walk out into the hallway aaand he’s not there. Wonderful! Think it’s time you got outta the house buddy! Guy finds a tape on a table and inserts it and now it’s showing random scenes. WTF. Resident evil VII? And it’s coming out in January 24th!? holy shit!
Shawn Layden comes out. States the game will be fully playable from beginning to end in PSVR. Oct. 13th is when PSVR will drop and of course will be 399.99. more than 50 games will be available at launch to the end of this year.
And now we’re gonna go into some exclusive PSVR games. Looks like a game that takes place on some red planet…Mars I guess? There’s fires now…explosions in the sky. Shooting from behind cover. A very large ugly looking mofo of a Spider. Game is called Farpoint.
EA Dice and Criterion game is coming up. Seems to be that VR Battlefront game that was being made. You’re flying an x-wing. Called Battlefront VR X-Wing Mission.
A Batman game? Joker is talking in the background…aaand it looks like it’s a Batman Arkham Game being made by Rocksteady. It’s coming to VR. How the hell did they get him to come back to play the Joker?
Going into a trailer of Final Fantasy XV with a remix of the Chocobo theme playing. Guess we’re out of the VR games. or…maybe not! Apparently you can kinda play Final Fantasy XV in VR? Looks like it’s as one of Noctis’ friends. Called Final Fantasy XV VR experience where you play as Prompto.
Now we’re going into a different game. Considering the protagonist just got called Reyes…I’m assuming this is CoD. Everyone is out in space and stuff. Now maybe we might be out of the VR stuff perhaps? Reyes is going into a space ship and waiting to launch out. Getting set up on a runway. Showing a bit of the space battles looks like one of his friends got blown up. Now you’re jumping out of the ship and shooting side ways. Dude just grappled someone over to him and pulled his helmet off. That sucks for him. Looks like your feet have some sort of magnets to help you stay on surfaces… they just breached into a large ship and expelled everyone out into space in the process. Activated the gravity and now they’re going the the ship laying down fire on everyone in their path. When you’re in zero gravity the way you move is through your grapple otherwise you’re gonna be just sitting there in midair. Game releases Nov. 4th. Looks like they may show more footage of Modern Warfare Remastered. Yeah they are…someone in the crowd is busting a nut lol. Various footage of the game getting shown. If you preorder apparently you get to play Modern Warfare early.
People got hyped for a hot second thing they were getting a completely new Crash Bandicoot but no it’s actually 1, 2, and Warped remastered on the PS4. No date given. Showing Skylanders Imaginators where you can create your own skylander. Showed some footage of Crash in the game. Comes Oct. 2016.
Moving into Lego Star Wars now. Pretty much Star Wars with the Lego style humor of course. You can download a demo of the game right now. Game comes out in 2 weeks.
Andrew House comes to the stage with that epic ass orchestral theme. Can’t remember the name of it but it was in Asura’s Wrath in the Moon fight. Think he’s about to introduce Kojima. Yyyup here comes Kojima! Kojima is in the house! The crowd is going crazy. Kojima is now speaking in english saying he’s back. He’s trying not to mess up. Some spaghetti fell out of his pockets but he’s alright. Now we’re seeing footage of his game. Don’t know exactly what to make of this but there seems to be someone invisible walking in the sand aaaand theres a naked body…Looks like the naked body belongs to Norman Reedus lol. It’d be even better if they got Del Toro. I don’t even quite know what’s going on but there’s like 5 people floating in the sky. Name of the game is called Death Stranding. No Del Toro.
Looks like we’re going into and Insomiac game. Oh shit…an Insomniac Spider-man game!? this is quite the surprised. This game looks pretty damn good if that’s gameplay and it’s exclusive to PS4? jesus.
This epic music that they keep coming out on. Sounds like Shawn Layden is delivering last statement. and he’s leaving us with gameplay footage of Days Gone. Guy is investigating a camp. He finds a half eaten corpse that was being picked over by wolves. He reaches into a dead car and pulls out an oil filter and voila!..instant silencer. nm about not having any infected or zombies. It has SOMETHING akin to that…now that I see large crowd of them…they’re definitely zombies. SERIOUSLY…WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU GUY FIGHTING WITH ALL THAT SHIT AROUND? well the guy he was after just broke his leg and now he’s running from the large heard of zombies that are coming at him in droves… HOLY HELL…that is the larges wave of zombies… Yo…YOU NEED TO GO. They are literally cralling all over the place there’s so many of them that they’re weight is breaking wood structures as they chase him but even then it doesn’t matter cause the amount of bodies that are there they just run over top of them. Dude is trying to get away. It is quite tense… he manages to save himself for the time being but dear lord the zombies are ALL OVER THE PLACE. There’s no way he’s getting out of that.
