The consideration would come up. If they allowed MvC4 it’d basically be to advertise all their projects again like MvC3 did.
The biggest issue holding this back though is…Capcom really likes the X-Men and pimp them out for all their title due to the origin of the Vs Series being back all the way in Children of the Atom. At the moment however Marvel is in a “Fuck the X-Men” mode due to the whole beef with Fox to the point that they’re staging another Mutant Extinction Event with the Inhumans. Capcom already had to fight hard to just to get some of the X-Men characters they put in MvC3 as it is.
What if MVC4 didn’t have any X-Men characters period? That would remove only about 6 or 7 of them off the roster even based on MVC3 cast. Shouldn’t be that much of an issue right?
It will still have Wolverine and Deadpool. They are Avengers.
You try to sell an MvC without Mag-fuckin’-Neto and Wack Bot and see how well that flies.

Like I said, the X-Men were the origin of the Vs Series and arguably the reason for its longevity. They can’t really afford to remove the X-Men and just Wolvie won’t be enough.
Doesn’t the Marvel license rest with Activision or another company now making this discussion moot?
I don’t see Sentinel being essential. The thing hasn’t been relevant to the X-Men in a long ass time. Give his playstyle to another machine like Ultron and be done with it.
Ultron, Vision, Modok, or Hulkbuster are all more relevant and could have the same moves while actually having character and relationships with the other characters.
Hell they could give sentinels moves to Ironman because he’s sucked in every MvC game. Plus it would make sense since Tony can control multiple suits.
If MvC4 is a thing(which it isn’t), I want Rouge or Colossus back. Maybe Captain Marvel or Gambit.
I’d accept Hulkbuster as a replacement for Sentinel.

The top most right I can’t tell what it is clearly, looks like either an eye or a blade in a circle.
The gun icon could seriously be anything but the design looks like classic Captain Cold freeze ray.
Well if nothing else I hope NRS learned from MKX and will show gameplay more frequently. Their promotion of Injustice 1 was absolutely horrible.
NRS promotion in general is ass. We normally get the info on their games through leaks.
