a lot of love went into the game. the areas were modeled on actual places in japan and china, it was very authentic. the art style gave every inhabitant in the game a life like persona, their faces had more personality than most games even today. it had a deep martial arts theme that required the player to learn martial arts moves through conversation and relationships; there was no button diagram to learn moves but it was explained well enough for you to just get it. the fighting was fluid with slight unpredictability about it, if you actually did any martial arts you’d know it feels very similar to real fighting.
its just a superior game to a point where the intelligence in the art holds the game up to a spiritual level
Too bad it’s controls were garbage. I enjoy the shenmue games for everything you mentioned but the controls are so bad. I had to watch them through lets plays.
I hope some of the stretch goals are HD versions of 1&2 or Sony does remakes for them and revamps the controls.
WRONG! Shenmue 3 is OBVIOUSLY the best thing out of that WHOLE conference PERIOD! FF7 remake? Didn’t they just ALREADY released an upscaled cough Oops! I mean “HD remaster” version of that shit not too long ago? How much more FF7 milk can you niggas cum guzzle down before you realize you’re just paying for the same fuckin game over and over and over again? LOL!
Not to mention a HUGE majority of ish Sony showed off is also on the PC as well, (including Shenmue 3) which just happens to be MY platform of choice. And last time I checked they’re considered multiplats and you don’t count those for a system seller. So I guess it’s safe to see PC won E3 yet again since we’re getting the best of the best from both sides and there’s still no reason for me to own a PS4 or Xbone confirmed LOL! GGS my children.
One thing I DO NOT understand: How the hell are FF7 Remake and Shenmue 3 not exclusive to PS4!? Sony just missed out on two biggest possible system sellers one could ever have! Like, WTF! It’s a no-brainer both of those should’ve been only on PlayStation, especially Shenmue 3, and not getting funded via kickstaret but being fully funded by Sony
Bloodborne was PS4 exclusive because Sony funded the game and had an exclusivity deal with From Software. Considering how much the FF7 Remake is likely going to cost to make it’s unlike Sony wants to shell out that much to get it exclusive and even if they did Square would likely turn it down as they would want to keep it multi platform so they can reach the widest audience possible.
