Yea but the same can be said for a lot of fighters, GGX2 has as many updates and revisions as SFII and 15 years later people still play it (tho it has had a sharp decline with the release of Xrd, there’s a trend here). Thread in FGD of people hype because AC+R was just released on Steam.
Any fighter will last as long as people continue to play it.
Honestly people bitch about fighting games wanting a patch because it doesn’t suit there style. People want fighting games changed so it’s easier for them to win. They want the patches because they hope it makes them better. Just something I’ve noticed over a very very long time. It’s a giant never ending gimmick. No one is ever going to truly be happy with one version of a fighting game.
but arcsys at least with blazblue won’t let any iteration stick.
that’s the problem i have with it, the updates are waaay to frequent.
all examples that were given by me or others have not been updated or released at much or as frequently.
I just told you SFIII got updated the same damn year it came out…There has been close to a two year gap between each BB update, which is the same time span as the updates between Second Impact (97) and 3rd Strike (99). 2 years.
This was supposed to be a hype thread leading into E3 but the ugly ass DLC elephant lumbered his way into the thread making things…not as hype.
As much As I’m finding this DLC ‘debate’ entertaining…this isn’t quite the VGG thread yet. If you would like to continue talking about this topic, I’d suggest moving it over to the VGG thread for the time being.
We should be getting hype and happy about some of the unknown that we’re may or may not be seeing in what…half a week!? What are people expecting from the Big 3? or any of the other conferences?
They don’t gain shit for letting a game stick.
Are you that stupid that think that by letting BB rest they will gain a proffit?
That doesn’t make sense nither for the arcade market or the consoles.
And you @PA wonder why i thinbk that some of you are some cheap ass mother fuckers broke ass niggas.
I remember that HDR died faster than it was suppose to because a “top” 'murican player lost as E.honda to a Zangief player in EVO finals (2008 or 2009 i don’t remember which)
and then said player made a fuss about it everywhere , calling the game “babyzone” and stuff. At the time this “top” player was pretty influental.
HDR wen’t dead real fast after said event. Also in case anyone is curious …it’s a 8-2 matchup in hondas favor.
I’m right with you dude, but when you look in the thread and people are shitting on the games we are supposed to be getting hype about what are we supposed to do?
Honestly I just want to see something like Super Metroid 2. Just something new that isn’t the typical shoot a gun at zombies whatever. Not even a shot at Po. I’ve felt like this for so so long. Just see Retro Studios come out and announce a new Metroid, hell Super Mario RPG even? Go back to what made nintendo great in the first place. And stuff like Splatoon was a really good start too. For so so many years I’ve stayed away from a lot of ps3/ps4/360/xbox one anything “current” gen for probably 5-6 years now. Haven’t really even played my 360 or ps3 much at all in years. -Most- video games of the past 7 years or so I haven’t been interested in at all. And yeah I’m the kinda person that just now at this point prefers just sticking with the retro stuff considering how most video games have been the same old same old for way too long.
I just want to see stuff like the golden years of the late 80’s and 90’s for video games. Yeah I know there’s some good stuff coming and I hope that keeps up and there’s more and more of it. And I don’t need damn achievements just so I’ll play a game longer or over and over too.
