But, I didn’t… He just said I did. You can read a few posts back and see what I said… It’s ironic how he’s spreading misinformation and misquoting people, calling it “cherry picking,” but I can’t exaggerate lol.
As far as what else I could’ve exaggerated… The people who are parading themselves around as the almighty presenters of factual information know exactly what I exaggerated, or they should if they are what they say. If they don’t know what’s an exaggeration, then they don’t know the facts. If that’s the case, why are they arguing?
The price of their DLC characters isn’t the only thing that makes the way they handle their updates shitty. I went over it more than enough, and I won’t repeat myself.
You think it’s bullshit, but some see it as a legitimate concern. Not an issue for you ≠ a non issue as a whole. Everyone’s circumstances are different, though I do agree that it isn’t necessary 100% of the time to own a character you want to learn to fight. You can’t go into training mode and set up scenarios with a character you don’t own.
Yea we couldn’t put characters in training mode to set up scenarios back in the day either and we still managed to learn how to fight against other characters, so I still don’t see that as a viable stance. There are hundreds of ways to learn how to fight a character you don’t have access to in some way or another.
Yea I take back the comment about all games being 60 said by you, but I still feel you and others have failed to make a compelling argument about DLC characters. Not buying all the characters doesn’t make you a casual, or anything of the sort, you’re not missing out on something by not buying something you don’t want, or by waiting for the update to get the characters you don’t care about (I never planned to buy Leo cuz I don’t care about him, just wait for the update release that will have him) I have no interest no buying characters I have no intention of playing, and there are so many ways to learn how to fight characters in the standing that Leo or Elphelt are in that there is no compelling argument for NEEDING to have them in order to learn how to fight them, so I really does just boil down to whether or not you want to own them.
One thing is not handling the release of their revisions/new games the way we liked to and another being a shitty practice, your words not mine
If you don’t want people to jump at conclussions you need to be clearer, if we are discussing about asw dlc’s as a whole and the only shit that you post is stuff like that you can’t blame anyone to think that you are on the same boat as po with his 6 months scam “logic”.
And again, the facts make your whole goddamn argument moot, there is a significant time gap between games, with none of them having dlc’s one after the other
1 year between BBCT and BBCS, where BBCS is a whole new game
Almost 2 years between BBCS and BBCSEX with no DLC on the later.
1 year and 8 months between BBCSEX and BBCP
1 year and 9 months between BBCP and BBCPEX
As i pointed out, it was 60 for BBCS, withc only 3 chars at 7.99, which were released with months between each other and BBCSII being offered for free in order to not divide the online community.
Out of all their games only BBCSEX and BBCPEX could have been done as patches anyway, since they were revisions instead of new games with massive changes on the game engines.
Offering you a product that you can choose to buy or not is not being robbed, if you don’t find value on it don’t buy it, fucking simple, or wait when it is cheaper, your choice.
Would i love if they offered more options to upgrade my games? Hell yes, you can go to the BB section or DL and see my posts about it, but i know that me not liking it doesn’t equal it to what they do is a shitty practice.
Yet all the posts on the subject have been always you complaining that its a shitty practice or that 8 dollars is too much, sorry but if your problems are more than this then i am sure that none of us know what they are outside the 1st 2.
I thought I was pretty clear. If you reread everything or said up until thing point, you’ll notice that I didn’t imply their adding DLC was bad.
The time gaps aren’t relevant to what you bolded so, no, those “facts” don’t make my argument moot.
I like how you give them so much credit for that free update and say “they didn’t want to divide the community,” despite all the different versions they’ve released that aren’t compatible with each other.
“If you don’t find value in it, don’t buy it”
When people did that, you called them cheap. Don’t present an option if you’re going to belittle those who choose it.
Sorry if this response seems half-assed, but I’m kinda busy at the moment and I’m on my phone. I’ll get back to you guys in a little bit.
At this point i think that he is not even sure what he arguing about.
Just moving the goalposts.
Tyrone and po surely look hella suspect now, they apply too many SJW tactics when arguing…
I don’t belittle you for not buying it, i belittle you for pointing that $8 for a char is a problem or a shitty practice like you said.
Also, since when new games are compatible with older games on mp? specially FG’s where the chars between each version vary enough that trying to play BBCS and BBCP would be impossible.
Now that is just some po dumb shit right there.
This is what I said, what was quoted, and it was before(and separate from) the comment involving the 3 month exaggeration:
Read what I just said to him again, with the context in mind, and you’ll have your answer.
You’re twisting my words.
They’re not in most cases, though games like SSF4 have compatibility options so users can play with those who have older versions. However, you commended ArcSys for the CSII update, claiming that they didn’t want to divide the community. Every time they release a new disc that they don’t have to release, they’re dividing the community.
I’m just about done with this, because it’s becoming less about the argument and more about who said what. Just reread the posts if you want clarification.
Did I not point out hypocrisy, fallacy, and misinformation in your arguments?
Did I not clarify what you asked me to clarify?
Did I not repeat myself multiple times?
You’re trying to argue semantics… Every time I tell you why something you said is wrong, you ignore it then claim I said something I didn’t even say. When I clarify that, you tell me I’m not being clear and blame me for your lack of comprehension. On top of that, you’re constantly attacking Po whom has no relevance to the conversation. What else can I possibly say to someone who acts like a crazy person?
Yeah, I’m backing out. No, it’s not because I can’t back up my argument. Does anyone else feel that I didn’t adequately back up the things I said?
We’re going in circles and getting nowhere. Why continue?
I’m not really a fan of DLC characters in fighting games because I don’t really want to be a part of a kind of “pay to win” strategy (which ended up happening with Kokonoe in BBCP, but I really just wanted to play the character… honest. You could also say the DLC characters in KOF13 became this as well) or a character that I may want to play being potentially banned because of being Overpowered+DLC.
Other DLC that doesn’t affect competitive play I’m fine with, but I always hated the idea of selling new characters individually after the game is already out. I prefer them to just come in bulk with a significant title update.
-As far as having the character to learn to fight against, for me personally, I feel the best/quickest way is to take the things I have trouble with in the match vs. the character and figure out a bunch of specific counters to recorded simulations in training mode (provided that feature is available in the game). To me, having that available is an advantage someone would definitely have over people who don’t own the character. The only alternative to that is if you can go to a session or something and get enough spare time to set it up there (not always that convenient depending on the session though).
point is nintendo’s dlc is made to last, arcsys’s dlc is quickly made a waste of money and expires with they poorly handled frequent updates at least with blazblue franchise.
that’s all i’m saying i’m done with this.
this shit got way out of hand.
someone make a dlc thread.
edit: @crotchpuncha that wasn’t my point the point was that it’s dlc doesn’t last.
