prob because it wasn’t big enough for the companies to notice, but now that its in articles and shit they’ll probably get a Cease and desist order soon.
Arc needs to adopt the SFIV way to update their games, DLC for those who just want to get the new game via patch and a retail release for those who prefer to have physical copies of their games,
Yea i agree, it’s much rather pay 8 bucks or whatever for Jam then 40+ for a whole new disc (me wanting update to the PS4 version aside) but you know dat evil DLC an all.
Yeah, I was honestly surprised at how fun it was and at how minimal the usual “Suda51Jank” was. Like, I actually wanted to keep playing it after I finished. The combat system isn’t super deep but it’s like a more satisfying version of Batman, but with killcam headshots and executions lol
For some reason the level design was pretty cool too.
I kinda want to replay that game now…
Edit: oh, and as usual the music was really damn good and the boss fights were pretty alright. A lot of that game was “really damn alright.”
In a perfect world, all fighters will have SFV’s proposed system - only one disc release and every post-launch character can be bought with in-game currency (with an option for people to buy them with real money if they want to).
The worst part about SFV’s release is how many times we will see that classic joke of “I’ll just wait for the Super Mega Turbo Alpha Hyper Edition.” Look at the comments for almost any Capcom game, not even just fighting games, and I bet you’ll see it at least once.
If there’s one thing you can count on gamers to do, it’s take something that was not even really funny to begin with and drive it straight into the ground with the power of a spinning pile driver.
No kidding, that shit was chuckle worthy the first time, now I just want to smash their skull in with a ball ping hammer when they make that stupid ass joke.
Assuming that a model that has been know to be a tedious chore everytime that is implemented will be any different. Not to mention that assuming that every company is on a position to do that kind of thing.
I am not really expecting that this free to play model will be any different free to start shit where the grinding will be to damn annoying in order to force you to buy.
I would actually prefer a free to play a la doa where the free characters rotate every week.
Plus is not like they have not been giving for free for a week the dlc characters on their last games. Kind of like what Skullgirls has done with theirs.
Tip for those playing Killer is Dead: Get the damn Heavy counter attack and launcher ASAP. No enemies have defense against either, so pretty much kills damn near everything except the later-game bastards and bosses.
And I found it slightly underwhelming. Story had a ton of gaping questions and holes, that for a single-shot game could have at least answered at the very end (like Killer 7 did. Mostly).
How is that to be taken as a joke? Considering Capcom is Capcom, how is that not the best course of action to take when purchasing their products? I wouldn’t even buy a can a soda from Capcom without waiting it out to see if I’m going to get duped.
I don’t think you get my point. I’m not passing judgement on their business practices. I’m saying that you can count on someone coming into a comment section and saying that line with almost the same exact wording. It’s as stupid as “arrow to the knee” or “the cake is a lie” became over time. Didn’t stop dumbasses from using them for months or years after they stopped being funny. If they ever even were funny (they weren’t).
This in thread whats basically amounts to 4Chan /v/ Jr. You are going to get over played statements and remarks here, its Part of the culture of General Discussion.
