Thanks guys, this is gonna sound funny but games are like songs are to most people to me. can look at every game in that collection and remember where and when I got it, my experiences playing it with people and even what was going on in my life at the time. I do still play most of them from time to time or loan them out to friends who havent experienced them. With so many great memories attached i dont see myself ever selling them.
@“po pimpus” that is indeed run saber. nice little hidden gem strider clone.
All I remember was renting Run Saber and getting to the last boss on the day it had to go back… I barely pulled off the win right before it had to go back.
This is what I’ve been waiting for, to see the Souls series mechanics be implemented into non Souls games, for years I’ve been saying the influence of the Souls series is just as GDLK as the Souls games themselves. In the Souls games death doesn’t carry nearly as much penalty because after you die learn enough you won’t be stupid and reckless and even if you do die carrying a ton of souls you’ll most likely get them back unless you died at a hard ass boss lol, but in Necropolis death isn’t there to teach you, it’s there to constantly scare you so you don’t get second chances which is the opposite of the Souls trial by fire design, so I’m really curious seeing how hard and how long the final game will be. It’s a really innovative and smart twist on the Souls formula combining the familiar with new ideas beyond perma death, there are randomly generated levels, and item and spell crafting so I definitely see this as having a lot of potential.
Kab makes me want to post what I currently have in my possession. Don’t have my SNES, Genesis, N64, Game Gear, or NES games on me. I’m still fucking pissed that my WWF No Mercy suddenly vanished in to thin air. The moment I find out who did it…
Ordered a PS2-PS4 controller **converter **last night. No 8 minute BS or using a DS4 to get it going. I’ve read good things. Got a feeling we’ll be hearing more about it soon.
I know this concept is really hard for a number of you to understand but people have different taste and expectations then you do. Crazy i know, but true.
The saddest thing about this genre transition is that Silent Hill being turned into a 2D brawler is still a billion times more dignified and preferable than what Konami actually turned the series into: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ht4dbyPIcM
