I was talking to airthrow, JGD Chaos, DeathScythe (nobody here except @crotchpuncha was even around long enough to know those names lol), and a few others last night and the topic was brought up and they all said it’s pointless to explain the fact that online wins especially between continents with unstable ping means nothing in the actual FGC, the online only scrubs are part of what made the OG regulars and mods leave GD lol.
The whole talk could have ended after El trouble exposed everyone, but stream monsters like exposedd, negative-Zero, LW, and others continued to embody all the negative stereotypes of FGC new members and unfortunately make it harder for others like @Saitsu for example to be taken seriously. So I’m more than happy to contribute to de railing this thread as long as others have their name in my mouth, especially with the thread title change its only appropriate B)

I beat Julius last night in a FT10, we both tried our absolute best it was a very intense and fun set, but that win didn’t determine who is better and we both knew it especially with him complaining about east coast to west coast lag, he was making fun of people like you for giving online any credit whatsoever so keep proving our point 
Please point out where I said online wins “count” in the first place…I’ll wait lol. I understand you think I was being a hypocrite and discrediting exposedd because the match didn’t go in my favor and if that were true yes that would be mad fucking scrubby of me, but that was never the case. The only reason I brought up the fact that I’ve been beating him for years is to show how pointless and immature it is to use online as a benchmark for these kids to say “WELL I BEAT YOU ONLINE SO DURRRR IM THE MAN”…yeah lets see them say that at a major or even a local session and see how many fucks are given, by his own standards if I’m free for losing a FT10 then wouldn’t that make him even more free for holding the L for years? See how dumb that sounds? I don’t know how good or bad exposedd really is, no one does because he hasn’t proven himself either way, he could be the greatest player in ST history for all we know or the worst, but until he puts some results down he’s just another online warrior talking shit, so unlike him I do have results and credibility which is why I’m recognized by the community. Like El Trouble said no one in the FGC cares about who beats who online, the tournament organizers and community have always agreed with that, so as long as online scrubs keep talking about me I am more than happy to make fun of their immaturity. The only thing that’s scrubby here are the people who equate an online loss to an offline loss, I’m surprised you can’t see that, I mean when a player who’s never been in a tournament says he’s better than the highest placing American in SBO and other people are agreeing with him all you can do is laugh at the scrubbiness on display. I could beat Saitsu 10-0 but that won’t make me gloat and and condescend to him like a child the way exposedd did, I’ve been beating almost everyone I play online in either ST or HDR for years now, and you won’t find a single post of me ever saying anything along the lines of “LEL I BEAT YOU YOU SUCK”.
Because it’s fun to play video games online? I just want any excuse to play ST with people it’s the most addictive game ever lol to me.
I know it looks like a game that was made by a big budget studio and a lot more fun and creative than most other indies out there, the interactivity with enemies and objects is a really nice touch I wasn’t expecting. If I had one complaint it would be that the level auto scrolls since it’s a SHMUP, I’d prefer it to stay static and be a platformer that lets me move at my own pace psosibly with inifinite spawning enemies like Contra or Mega Man, but that’s not a big deal at all, definitely hoping I get to play this on my PSV.

You either continue to cherry pick and only address parts of my posts that are convenient for you or you’re misunderstanding me and not willing to admit it which is sad because I thought you’d be one of the few logical people here I don’t like repeating myself. It’s a universally acknowledged fact as far as the FGC goes online doesn’t count, never has and never will that’s why tournaments are held offline and why there’s never been an online Daigo, all this talk about online holds 0 weight and credibility outside of this thread lol, so when I said I was bodying exposedd online for years I wasn’t saying it to brag as if I’m better than him, again that would be scrubby as fuck, I said it to show how stupid it is to give online wins any credit in the first place I thought I made that very clear. I wasn’t playing any option select because I wasn’t bragging in the first place the fact that my post could even be looked at as an option select didn’t even occur to me until Saitsu pointed it out way after the fact, all those years I was playing exposedd on HDR XBL both of us also played a ton of other regulars and we had a little online scene going and I made it very clear to everyone multiple times when egos got hot that no one should ever take online seriously it doesn’t prove anything, hell I beat Snake Eyez the EVO HDR champ all the time, I’ve never bragged like “LEL EVO CHAMP IS A NOOB COMPARED TO ME”. If I beat exposedd in our FT10 I wouldn’t have talked shit about him the way he did with me like I said I never did that with anyone, I beat burnyourego 10-0 before, but never said a word about it besides a GG because that’s all it is so after years of never taking anything online seriously including beating top guys like Alex Valle or Mike Ross you’re saying I suddenly did now with exposed…lol ok sure. Yes you’re right I did know the point of the FT10…to play ST like I’ve been doing with every other FT10 I ever played online lol and keep going past 10, even right now after all exposedd’s immaturity and denial of facts I still can’t speak about his skill, all I know is he can win and pull off combos online which I said way before we played.
Also the “you both had to deal with lag” excuse is scrubby as fuck and the FGC agrees with me so what some online only warriors say doesn’t matter, and by the way when I got online with exposedd before we played a single match I told him I wasn’t counting wins/losses and just wanted to play as much as possible.

You guys did a FT10 little grudge match and as soon you lost you started playing the “Online matches don’t count/'matter” card over a petty little FT10 with abso-fucking-lutly nothing on the line. Of course this online match didn’t matter there was nothing on the line. matches in person don;t matter if there is nothing on the line there either. I spent 5 hours last night playing Xrd with my brother, you think those matches mattered because they where face to face? I hate to break it to you but they didn’t, nothing was on the line but pride, a useless commodity. There was nothing to lose here aside from a little bit of pride, I thought you had the stones to just accept a loss and laugh about it but instead you’ve been goin on for like 2 pages making excuses and trying to find ways to invalidate your loss. That imo is scrubby as fuck. You accepted a challange, you knew the environment the challenge would be held in, and you knew this was the only way to do it because neither you or Expossed are going to fly across the fucking globe to play 19 possible matches of Super Turbo. You both had the same conditions to deal with and you lost, and instead of accepting the loss you’ve been in here and in the lounge crying “Online Warrior” and “Sweden!”

@crotchpuncha That’s where the misunderstanding is, you think there was any pride or grievance or grudge in the first place. For exposedd sure I mean he was the one keeping score mid match despite me telling him before playing that I didn’t care who won and wanted to play more than just 10 matches, but for me none of that’s ever on my mind anytime I play ST online I play purely for the fun of it otherwise I wouldn’t do something that very clearly makes me play worse in tournaments. Sure I always try my best no matter what it would be pointless not to, but when I lose online I don’t care because I don’t feel the least bit invested personally, when I lose offline it’s a different story, when I beat airthrow I was making fun of him jokingly, but we talked about how offline it could be a very different and how the lag screwed things up and it was all in good fun. I don’t know why you think I’m somehow invalidating my loss vs exposedd, all I said was that whether he wins or loses it doesn’t determine who’s better and it’s not an option select as I’ve been saying that for years so if it makes him feel better to say I’m free or whatever cool good for him because what he says doesn’t hold any weight in my mind or the minds of the ST community that I care about. If I were to say something like “he’d never beat me offline I’d body him in person” then yes that would definitely be me making excuses, but all I cared about was just playing the game, hell in the lounge soooo many times I have posted about wanting to play anyone else from GD. If you call that scrubby as fuck okay cool you have a very different definition of the term than I and the rest of community. I’ve lost many games online to other people and not once felt like anything was on the line, with exposedd nothing is different except for him bragging about it like a child.

Zoo did you know Salt and Sanctuary is supposed to be coming to the Vita? I didn’t know that, I thought it was PC and PS4 only. That has me stoked. It looks great as a console game, but I love the idea of getting to take it with me places. That’s dope as fuck. I’ve been wanting a “souls” experience on the go for some time now, and this game looks perfect for it.
