Colony Wars holy fuck I haven’t heard that name in like what 20 years dammmmmmmn really brings back memories, I fucking loved that game mostly for the explosions and colored lasers lol. But my problem with Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen, Everspace, and all space ship games is they all feel exactly the same to me I don’t get the sense that I’m controlling a space ship going through intense dog fights, they all just look and feel like modded FPS games with sluggish controls.
I guess when I think of space flight sim or whatever the genre is called I picture super agile aircraft pulling off instantly responsive acrobatic maneuvers and shit kind of like Zone of the Enders, and when you’re moving through space since its so big and mostly black it doesn’t give the same sensation of adrenaline and speed like a F Zero or Wipeout does.
So suffice to say I’ve never been into the genre, but No Man’s Sky art style and open endedness convinced me to give it a shot.
I never said the english DBZ voices were good. Just that Goku’s Japanese one in this game sounds awful…just because one is bad doesn’t make the other one good.
It’s been a minute since I posted an awesome looking indie game so here’s Jetpack Squad made by the creator of Intrusion 2 which was a decent ghetto Contra rip off:
Intrusion 2 (I don’t think there was ever an Intrusion 1 lol) wasn’t a great game it was a forgettable, decent Contra rip off well worth the $2 I paid for it you’re not missing out on much unless you’re jonesing for a Contra-sequel game, and even then there are probably better options.
That looks really cool. Reminds me of PS2 games like Jak and Ratchet and Clank. Really colorful and vibrant. HUGE guns. Looks neat. Never played Intrusion.
