In a nutshell A1 decided to use the Darkstalker combo system in a SF game.
This gave certain characters combos that would do crazy damage and instantly dizzy. Guy was especially good with this, as he basically only needed 2 combos to kill you. Ken is a beast at this as well.
Some characters (Ken, Akuma) also had infinites extremely strong locking options due to their BS priority.
Basically if you’re not Guy, Ken, Akuma, or Charlie and your opponent is you are at a disadvantage.
You’re insinuating that those games are revered because of their inputs rather than being revered despite their inputs. ST might be well regarded as a pivotal game in the genre, but I didn’t see any fighters afterwards copying its random input windows, not even later Street Fighters.
I’m going to once again reiterate that I have no problem with high level play requiring a tight degree of execution due to how the gameplay evolved, but making basic actions like using all of the moves in the command list difficult is entirely pointless. You’re not thinking like a designer; you’re thinking like an old man who’s salty that the new generation has had an easier time than you did, even though the new way is more efficient.
Hey recording on your phone while screaming “WORLD STAR HIP HOP” instigating ass nigga this is the last time I’ll say this.
Exposedd is an online only scrub who talks shit but can’t back it up, all he can do is brag about his online wins which no one in the FGC cares about, like I said before I’ve beaten the #1 U.S. player Afro Legends many times on XBL, but I don’t think for a second that I could beat him in person, there are countless players like exposedd who think they’re hot shit because they can win online but only a very very small percentage of them are able to translate those wins offline where it counts, my friend Snake Eyez is the only one I can think of at the moment, there are countless players who do well online then we see them in tourney and they get spanked.
I on the other hand have proven myself for years, there’s footage of me from past tournies like EVO, ECT, 2old2furious, and others of me playing and beating skilled players like Justin Wong, Shotosallday, and others, hell I even somehow managed to beat top japanese players Kusomondo and Mattsun in money matches (sadly lost to Kurahashi though) in front of the actual community. Has exposedd ever made top 8 of anything? Has he ever been in EVO semi finals? Has he ever even been 1 match away from X-mania top 8? Has he ever gotten any respectable offline results anywhere? When you Snitched to Mrwizard in that same post you also @'ed El Trouble…that’s my boy ask him or better yet go to Super Arcade in Cali or to Next Level in NY and ask if any of the ST heads ever heard of Exposedd.
He’s jealous he’s not part of the ST community since he lives in Sweden where there’s no scene while I have access to some of the best players in the U.S. like Rizone, Marsgatti, Damdai, Technical Monkey, and EMP Hiro for example, he never had any players, any tournaments, or any guidance to help him improve, all he’s ever had is online play which to a degree can help, but any top player of any fighting game will tell you that if all you do is play online then your offline skill sufffers severely due to input differences between online and offline. In fact many players like the 2 top U.S. ST players Damdai and Afro Legends rarely if ever play offline and encourage others to not do it because it makes you much weaker in tournaments if exposedd came to NY and bragged about his online wins he would be laughed out of Next Level. So he can talk all the shit he wants, brag about all his online wins that’s his choice, but it doesn’t change the fact that he is an unproven online only warrior and is not recognized at all by the ST community he desperately wants to be a part of no matter how many online wins he gets while I continue to actually show my skill and improve and compete against people in person where it counts. I’m sure this grown man talk is upsetting to exposedd, but I’m not even trying to insult him I’m just stating the facts.
@Pertho I know you like this kind of talk so if there’s anything you want to add go for it lol.
Hai guys, nobody knows me here but I’m a top player in a 3D fighter. I made top 8 in 8 of the 9 majors I attended over the life of this game. I’ve been in the FGC since 2000. Can I has handjobs now plz
Zoo is like a piece of dogshit that happens to have a mouth which he uses to blow out air REALLY FAST so he can propel and relocate himself
in order to avoid getting stomped on by a big mighty boot.
With that said… It brings me great joy to see that people are finally starting to see what a waste of space he really is.
Also i bet Po would beat him up so bad that he wouldn’t wanna touch anything that isn’t a indiegame , ool.
So there is this announcement from Comcept USA, LLC (the company behind the Mighty No. 9 Kick Starter)
I don’t even need to say anything, all the angry comments on the Mighty No 9 Kickstarter page said all I could have and then some.
I have a feeling Keiji Inafune isn’t going be trusted again with a KS project any time soon.
At least there was a heads up. I backed the Amplitude reboot and they’ve barely been saying shit. I am glad that they’ve doubled the song list, but I would’ve preferred online or remix mode over more songs any day.
Harmonix is gambling waaay too much on Rock Band 4, and I really don’t see people going crazy again for even more expensive plastic instruments. Same for Guitar Hero. It was an insanely successful fad that probably won’t be duplicated again.
Guitar Hero already fucked up hardcore. The cut corners super hard, and instead of in game shit they straight up just use concert footage which is lame as fuck, they got rid of all the prompt colors and went with boring ass gray, and then they did THIS BULLSHIT
Why the fuck would you place 6 tiny fucking buttons like that?
