Nah, the loading screens aren’t like commercial breaks. They don’t really push the whole trying to appear like a TV show too hard. It’s got a credits roll at the end of each season. As far as the 70s/80s anime style, I guess?lol. I’m not too familiar with anime outside of Cowboy Bebop. It’s got some obvious nods to Macross though.
Yeah if you aren’t familiar with the old school stuff you aren’t going to get the references. The Developers did say they want to make a obvious nod to Robotech/Macross, Voltron and other similar shows of that nature.
What I mean by the commercial breaks is before the show cuts to commercial you see a short title card image or we be back after these messages screen. I think they are called commercial bumpers.
Here is an example of a commercial bumper for the G1Transformers.
So a friend a mine brought me a copy of Final Fantasy XIV and 3 months of play time so he can get the recruitment items for bringing someone into the game. A bit over the top but I’ll play this for 3 months just so his money won’t go to waste.
MMOs are not for everybody, but as long as you got folks to play with and it does not take your life over.
Out of the MMOs I tried, I have to honestly say FF XIV isn’t bad at all. The whole thing is scaled well in terms of a difficulty curve, how players of various levels interact in events like the Fates with higher level players are temporarily nerfed in the event area so lower level players have a chance (walking out restores you to your full abilities). If you do decide to stay I would consider investing in a PC compatible game pad.
I’m not an MMO guy. The time investment MMOs require is a huge turn off for me. The only MMO I ever stuck with was DCU Online and it wasn’t much of an MMO.
I use a Dual Shock 4 for my gamepad needs on PC. I’ll give the Keyboard controls a shot before switching to pad to see what works best.
Looks like you don’t actually control the dragon, you only offer commands or suggestions to the Dragon.
Like the Protagonist and Dragon are more equal partners rather than having a master/servant relationship.
If they can get the combat system to work smoothly I think XB1 got a decent title on there hands.
Reminds me a little bit of Skyrim with a dash of the Bahamut Lagoon concept.
