Video Game General 3.0 - You know what should come back? Pre-rendered backgrounds!

I don’t think this got posted in here…It’s gameplay footage of Transformers Devastation from SDCC that got posted in the game’s thread about 2 weeks ago by Optimus124.

Sega also has posted their Financial report

It’s not good…

Apparently there might be a Final Fantasy XII remake in the works?

composers during a distant worlds concert announced it to the crowd supposedly.

Liked because fuck modern day Sega.

Hopefully on Vita.

I love how this X-Death jabroni called the GC a subpar port machine, when it had the best versions of Viewtiful Joe, RE 4, several other titles.

GC was technically superior to PS2 and Xbox and was better built mechanically than both as well. Also a HELL of a lot more durable… Replaced an Xbox and two PS2s during their heydays.

But please, continue being wrong… It amuses me.

You forgot this

not gonna say “autowin” but errrr… let us not discredit the gamecube.

Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about. The very nature of competitive games means that there must be losers, but Nintendo games generally don’t want people to feel like losers. Attempting to achieve this contradictory goal is what leads to games like Brawl and Mario Kart Wii. They’re getting a bit better about it in recent years, though.

Nothing’s wrong with being nonsensical; I play plenty of platformers with nonsensical barebones stories. But instead of narrative, they engage me with humor and/or self-parody. Which are the icing on the cake of some great platforming mechanics. Meanwhile Mario’s become pretty stale for me since Galaxy, an exercise in formality with the same gameplay mechanics framed by the same who-really-gives-a-shit-that-Peach-got-kidnapped-again excuse plot. A lot of the glory of the Paper Mario games was how it looked at the tropes the main games established and made fun of them. It would be cool if the mainline games did something similar.

The only GC game I remember is viewtiful joe. That shit is still mad dope (on dolphin). I play it a lot.

Viewtiful Joe was good fun, but lacked replay value. Resident Evil 4 is indeed the best in the series, but the only horror in the entire series comes from the shit controls.

I got nothing against the gc hardware itself, just the controller. Also what the fuck do you do to your consoles in that durability is such an issue for you? If you’ve been through 2 ps2s and an xbox, you should stop wasting money buying consoles until you get a padded room.

Should’ve known better than to have a conversation with the joker I guess.

OOOOOO YEZZZZZ
Lemme borrow a Techno Waifu for this:

Some of you guys have such questionable arguments against a game. Things like replay value and story driven are all subjective. The real question is are you having fun? Take it in as a whole. I need to aee what games I did have for the supposed drought during the N64 and GCN days.

GC being graphically superior to the PS2 is correct…not so against the Xbox.

INSERT TO FUCKING BOX

At first I looked at Yomawari as another turn based anime feat, but then I learned it was a horror game, and the love action teaser was creepy as fuck, then screen shots released, now we get descriptions of the game mechanics. Yo Yomawari is sounding like a serious title for survival horror fans I am absolutely in love with the premise, the mechanics, and that art look at how beautiful and creepy it is.

FFXII better come to pc :grimace:

Shout outs to the n64 for having some of the greatest multiplayer games ever made. Bomberman 64, Mario kart 64, smash, Mario party 2, golden eye, wcw vs nwo, wrestlemania 2000, and even though the Kirby game wasn’t that great the mini games were gdlk.

Plus having 2 Zelda’s, ogre battle 64, and Pokemon stadium didn’t hurt.

Not having any megaman, final fantasy’s, or metroids definitely did suck though lol.

Only fighting game I could think for the 64 was killer instinct.
