I like the way Smash is doing things. You get the full package with the base game and everything else is just adding on to that base package. You never feel like you’re “forced” to buy the new stuff in order to stay updated. You can buy what you want.
Killer Instinct’s method sounds interesting as well (though I have zero interest in the game itself, but as you said that’s irrelevant here) but I haven’t kept up with how their pricing model works.
Why’s “new” in quotes? There are no palette swaps or clones here.
In case you haven’t noticed, Central Fiction is a new subtitle. This is not a revision of Chronophantasma; this is a sequel game. That means more new characters than the standard update. New mechanics. New moves for the existing cast. New story content. New gameplay modes. Etc etc.
SMH at so many of you. As for Blazblue, they’re pushing shit out faster than ever. And peeps say I’m stupid for buying yearly CoD games. At least when I get it I don’t have to add on each gun for extra cash. ArcSys is fucking up huge
The arcade version of CPEX came out in October of last year. The release date for CF will likely fall around the same timeframe this year. The console release of CF won’t happen for another half a year after the arcade version. By which time the console version of CPEX would also have been out for a year.
So no, they aren’t being announced and released within weeks of each other. You people keep forgetting that this is an arcade franchise, primarily.
