I thought Walking Simulator was the genre name they gave for games like H1Z1 and Day Z.
Some style of games benefit more from a good story than others. Don’t really care about them in a precision platformer, shmup, or other similar action games, but other genres can benefit.
Which goes back to the argument if hack & slash/beat 'em ups need serious deep stories. They tried to do that with DmC and look what happened.
It depends of the genre rpgs benefit from emotional stories like Persona 4 gameplay is really simple IMO but the story is so entertaining that keeps you coming for more
No, they just re-use the same sprites for all their sequels.
Though I can at least give them some credit for adding new ones to existing characters, which Capcom never does (aside from Omega mode, but that just re-uses existing animations anyway).
Probably the same amount as every other ArcSys character: seven dollars.
Oh, but why is there not any mention about how I just spent a dollar less than that to buy Ryu in Smash Bros…and you and I both know a Smash character does not have the same amount of detail as an ArcSys character, whether or not it be Blazblue OR Guilty Gear. The bias is strong in this one.
I’m mad because ArcSys couldn’t even let their game be out in North America for a WEEK before announcing a brand new game. Those niggas knew exactly what they were doing, and now I’ve already bought the latest version of their game when the new iteration is already on the way.
Like goddamn. I love Blazblue as a game but the company behind it is fucking up big time.
Another Blazblue is a little (lot) much, ESPECIALLY when there’s another GG on the way. Do they even have the dev team size to be iterating both games at the same time? Who even still WANTS to play BB now that Guilty Gear is back?
Actually it’s $6 if you buy the one that gives it to you on two different systems, and Ryu comes with a brand new stage. Otherwise it’s $5. Smash DLC characters are $4 solo.
But I don’t think it’s the price he has a problem with, per se. I forget what he ranted about last time this came up.
because smash dlc won’t be quick to expire with yearly iterations sure you can enjoy playing past versions of the game ,but if you love the series of course you’re gonna get the new one.
competitively once the new game in a series comes out the old ones get the boot ,so the new ones are the only relevant ones.
where does that leave you with your previous titles and dlc? collecting dust.
smash dlc is a long investment.
whereas arcsys is very short.
