I read in an interview with Ono when he joined capcom he said the street fighter team and Inafune’s team didn’t get along even though they were like separate entities within capcom. The SF team working on arcade games, Inafune’s team on console games. The SF team working on Osaka Inafune’s in Tokyo.
Makes me wonder why would be any conflict between the two. Also SF team was considered the best at capcom at the time words by Ono, maybe Inafune was just jealous, it makes you wonder how conflict of a person he probably was
if the NX is a console , i will feel really sorry for all Wii U owners. Getting screwed over as bad as the hardcore gamer that bought the OG Wii.
Inafune was likley the reason Po Pimpus hates capcom now to begin with. Maybe the villains were the heroes all along?

It’s like you forgot that the latest Nintendo E3 just happened. Look I love Nintendo as much as the next guy but the company has been making shit decisions for quite some time now. The WiiU is currently in last place even with all of its major software releases and now we have rumors that their next console won’t be as powerful as the PS4.

Whenever I go to gamestop I spend about 10 minutes sifting through the Amiibo section specifically to see if I can find any defective ones that I can sell for a retarded price.

Really, rumour articles like that are kind of silly, even if they’re not super far-fetched.
Anyway: I’ve owned a WiiU since close to launch (and had access to one since launch), and simply put it doesn’t get as much time as I’d like due to awful design in a lot of the things I want it for. E.G.: MK8 battle mode being awful (Everything else is pretty damn good, at least now with 200cc, but I still stand by the game being inferior to Sonic Racing Transformed as a whole); forcing me to use motion control nonsense for Mario Party 10; no voice chat or even proper party matchmaking for Splatoon (not to mention the popularity-contest-based results of the inaugural, poorly-planned Splatfest - hilarious); etc etc.
I use my 3DS much more than I use my WiiU though, and thankfully enjoy almost every minute of it. (Besides Sticker Star - fuck that game.) Online is relatively-awful across all Nintendo platforms, which has never really been much of an issue since I use mostly for local multiplayer (and single player on my 3DS)… well, except for now, with Splatoon, which is clearly what my current major issue is with, hah =P

Agreed, however while people say that it is the games that make the system great, IMO the system can certainly facilitate games *potentially *being better. I feel (or at least, I hope) that if we reach technical parity, or maybe a comfortable similarity, it will do more good than harm. It could mean something as simple as third-party support for Nintendo (in this example) will finally improve, whether it be due to games being easier to port, or the system being more powerful and therefore the company will not be reluctant to “water down their product” (People do think like that. Imagine reading that as a Polymeux/Fish quote - easier to believe now, right?) by selling a mechanically-and-visually-inferior version of the game. I have to say in the interest of fairness, that this has gotten better with more recent games like Deus Ex: HR Director’s Cut, and Arkham City Armored, but they are in the minority. The unfortunate reality is that people *do *market with graphics, whether the gaming world loves it or hates it (I’m in the latter camp, but I’m old I guess). At the end of the day, as a developer, if your system can make my game more impressive in any way, I would want to be on your system.
Blah blah blah, opinions are like assholes, and all that good shit.
TL;DR: What I really want are the GAMING-related things that could come from stronger systems, like a 4-player, split-screen Splatoon, on a system that can support 4 tablets assuming they can make them reasonably-priced. Things like that are assisted by more powerful systems and more advanced technology. There is a lot more to system horsepower than “oooh, shiny graphics!”, even if it is arguably a result of the general public’s desire for said graphics, IMHO.
That’s the DQ rumour? =( What a shame. DQ Minecraft probably isn’t for me, but I guess we’ll see once some actual info comes out. Link is cute in there. Reminds me a little of Stonehearth - anyone on SRK follow that? It’s developed by the Cannon brothers, I believe.

The U is dope, but if people aren’t feeling it (and they aren’t), that’s on Nintendo. Hope their next system plays ball on tech-specs, to go along with whatever controller they decide to use.
Forget where but Miyamoto was quoted as taking a back seat on the design, for the new system. That’s a step in the right direction already , if true.
