One of the most interesting things I ever saw in my hobby was my brother bringing over his 4th grade friend Mason to the house and Mason darting right past the PS3 and 360 for my Genesis, SNES, and NES. Was like “whaaaa?” He loved em tho.
DMC4 Special – that uppercut with the Gilgamesh weapon, man… the damage, lawd have mercy. Ignoring all the fancy shit if you just want to bulldoze through bosses and nearly anything with the quickness… hit 'em with that shit. The extra damage from activating Devil Trigger right after the first hit still works, btw. I’m still not sure if that was intended or a glitch, but it is preposterous levels of damage, folks.

Batman Arkham Knight** - the version of Catwoman in these games continues to be the hottest version of the character that has ever existed…even surpassing the Michelle Pfeiffer 1992 version.
Assassin’s Creed…something is the free game on Live at the moment for X1…and yet I still don’t give 1 crumb of a shit. That entire franchise has never really jumped out at me. There was 1 of the sequels…about 2 games ago…that one with the naval warfare seemed interesting, but other than that, it is a series that has consistently failed to entice me.
Yea if there is one thing that is nice about Itsuno and his crew is that as long as the bug or glitch isn’t game breaking (Like game unplayable kinda bug) they generally either leave that shit alone, or build on it. In DMC3 they didn’t know you could rapid cancel the JCs like people where doing, it was unintended, but for DMC3SE they made that shit easier to do and kept the easier “input” for DMC4.
Same for the DT Real Impacts an shit. I bet that was unintended, but they left it in because it’s fucking cool and just make Real Impact, an already devistating move, that much more devastating which is already the aim of the move anyway.
I like that they are adding those cool Just Frame timings on weapons, those Vergil ones are fucking cool, and I always liked the ones on Gilgamesh, and Nero’s revving is tons of fun.
But if you think about it, Rydia was stuck in a fairy world where time moved faster. Time is relative any ways.
She lived for at least 18 years so its legit.
Yeah that was the adjustment that I had to get used to with the control and I wasn’t a fan of it. Cheap enemies and whatnot wasn’t the problem and was more or less expected, but that combined with being lost wandering around in the wrong areas and that style of control wasn’t fun for me. The fun was in my friends being entertained watching me struggle with the game with a no coaching policy and a few unexpected easy victories when I was “supposed” to get bodied and my friend getting salty because it wasn’t supposed to go down like that. That led to some good shit talking, but that’s about it… I can barely remember whatever storyline the game might’ve had and the end was like… huh… am I done?
Then when the new game+ just… happened and my friend explained that if I wanted to do any sidequests I may have missed that I would have to play back up to that point, I was like fuck it… I’ll watch those on youtube. But nah, I’d just watch other people struggle with it than go through that again.
