I thought Fez was overrated crap, but that has nothing to do with my opinion on the developer. Conceptually it was very appealing to me, and then I tried it (probably 360 demo?) and lost all interest. Later on I got it for free and decided to give it another shot - I wanted to like the quirky, bright, unique puzzle-platformer - and I still felt like I wasted my time playing it. It was just never very fun, and so for me, it failed as a game.
Later on, I found out more about the developer being a self-righteous dickhead, so it’s just a bonus that I don’t have to tell anybody how great his game is.
Fez was on sale on PSN for like 90 cents however long ago.
I still didn’t buy it. I bought 22 other random games over it. Outside of its aesthetics it doesn’t look like it’s anything special, TBH the gameplay looks boring as hell.
Yeah I tried the Demo, nothing special. Yeah Fez looked cute for about 5 minuets, then I got really tired of it. As a platforming game fez is dead boring, and as a puzzle game there nothing to engage me, there no reason to even care. Even Tetris had some draw, a reason why I wanted to place puzzle pieces.
I think they got to pay me to download a full version Fez. I see nothing of real value in that game. I don’t even think its worth the play.
And this is long before I found out that Fish is a total douche nozzle.
Fez had some really great atmosphere, I continued playing on that alone. It was really relaxing to play and look for the secrets and shit. Some of the puzzles were actually frustrating though. The world spinning is not where the true challenge is.

He won’t be unless people make their case to Wizard. IIRC Wizard said before that Lucas was too close which would make everyone else who came out the same time too close. I’ve love Evo to be the first Major tournamnent where we might be able to see the the characters work out though…better start buying those McRibs to try and change his mind.

I wanted to replay Uncharted 2 but I can’t imagine how many updates I’d have to sit through. And I don’t even want to play online.
For the most part. I believe it’s cross between Contra “platforming” and Alien Soldier, if you were to compare it to other games. Haven’t checked their website in a year, but last time the game was described as “run-n-gun x fighting game”.
