Metroidvanias are all the rage now which is great, but also can and to a degree already has gotten a bit played out.
Note to all indie devs: not every retro platformer has to be a Metroidvanias to get 90’s gamers hype. Also as far as Metroidvanias go if Ghost Song and Axiom Verge live up to their promise they will be the standard by which all others are measured against.
Ori looks awesome. The metroidvania aspects are cool, but the platforming looks that much better. I think when you 100% game, you can travel through the entire thing without a break in the action just on platforming shenanigans?
Saw some .gifs of Bloodborne, and H O L Y C O W! Those monster designs hnngg
In that case I would probably just go for the download. If it’s been a while since you’ve played the others I would just get the collection because I like wasting money. PW is pretty good though, and you can see where they’ve expanded on PW elements in MGS5. Grinding for parts is a fucking nightmare though.
Also, the final boss is amazing for a psp game, it actually made my heart race. TV and good speakers recommended.
Ay for anyone who’s beaten TWEWY does this nigga Neku get better. I thought his little “i hate people” attitude was just there because he found Shiki annoying. But this nigga is foreal corny and kinda reminds of Sasuke from Naruto or Cloud how he’s portrayed in the KH games. If he was in a different game I’d be more tolerant of it, but i mean the vibe of this game is fun and upbeat, and with people like Shiki, Beat and Rhyme around, Neku being on that bullshit makes him hella lame to me and it’s starting to get on my nerves especially
Actual spoiler
Spoiler
When Rhyme got killed by that shark(im not much farther than that) and Neku was just like oh well, who needs friends still blah blah
So yeah, does this nigga ever turn around? Again I’d be more tolerant of his attitude if the game’s setting and etc wasn’t so upbeat
Ok perfect. I mean I expected him to get better, but his “i hate people” personality is pretty poorly done to me. I’ll try to finish up the 1st week this weekend. But yeah it’s just annoying. But he’s not a “bad” lead to me. Especially after dealing with Jude from Tales of Xillia
I’ll probably just beat the main story and dip into post-game occasionally. As I’m doing with 2 other games. Because sinking time into one game is what’s holding up the backlog lol. But yeah, just needed confirmation that he gets better. He’s not terrible, just doesn’t match the vibe of the game as I was saying
