FI-FI-FIYA FIIIYA!
Amy’s theme is actually one of my favorite songs from the Sonic games.
Then this showed up after the song ended playing. Sometimes it pays not to have Auto Play turned off
If niggas would have slashed a copy of Xenoblade I would have tracked them niggas down
all of them don’t do it obviously…smh… but the games that dont sell usually get discarded even when they are marked down to like $2 dollars, (mainly ps2,gamecube, xbox discs)
of course some employees get to take them home that collect them or sell them to retro mom and pop shops
Tails’ song always made me think it was some kind of Christian rock song.
As of lately, I’ve been playing Tomb Raider, and though the experience is dampened by watching the entire walkthrough of the game in the past, I’m having quite a blast with it. I actually get excited when a stealth segment comes up, though for some reason, I always happened to get caught when I’m on a roll taking out survivors with the bow & arrow. Also, it could be because it’s on Normal, but headshots have been easy to score for me.
So apparently, when you summon for co-op in Bloodborne, you will automatically summon an NPC who herself will summon invaders to your world.
So if you want to co-op, you’re actually far more likely to be invaded now.
Sweet.
That video is amusing mostly because I’m curious as to what Gamestop cut a copy of GTA V and Black Ops? (There’s even a comment from another GS employee that asked the same question)
Gamestop shit
Ok so since you asked I’ll let you know what the deal on ‘field destroy’ is. To answer your question yes Gamestop does break game discs and or cut cords on product that they feel that they can’t sell…but the thing is that product has to be like at near a dollar or below for that to be considered and that’s usually if the game is unplayable. When it comes to accessories the only product that gets field destroyed are defective 3rd party controllers and headsets. Why don’t they donate these busted items? I da know? Maybe because they’re busted? I mean sure they could donate a crappy 3rd party controller where the A button doesn’t work that’s used on most of the games out there. Maybe the donating party could fix it? But in any case those are the things that get cut and busted in terms of accessories. That guy is dumpster diving and isn’t even wondering if the stuff in there works or not. Then we move on to the games…most of the games in that dumpster should be worth like a dollar or so used and probably cost maybe like 20 cents or 25 cents in trade more than likely. Games don’t usually get chucked like that unless we have employees take in product that is probably not fit to sell and they game isn’t worth the shipping to send it to get buffed. Unless that GS is flipping out of their mind (which is quite possible considering they put a black ops and a GTA in the trash…the only way that would happen is if like I said someone took in a disc that was clearly not fit to be sold AT ALL…like scratches all over the top of the disc or the disc was warped kind of shit). We’d have to take it out of inventory before chucking it causing that store to eat the hit on that product period. Considering GTA V still hovers around the $40-60 range brand new, If the GS wasn’t crazy and the GTA V wasn’t unsalvageable they’d mark it defective and ship it off to a warehouse to get buffed.
Also as a side note…if you’re buying a $60 game and you trade that game in within a week and you get $11 bucks for it then either your game was SO unbelievably shitty that GS doesn’t really want it but they’ll take it off your hands OR your game looks like a cat tap danced on the shit. And even still 11 bucks still sounds too low. It’s really going to depend on what the game is and the supply and demand for it on a nationwide scale. Most brand new games net you around $25-35 in the first week at least without having a card. People need to stop thinking that their Call of Duty game that they bought 2 months ago is going to retain that value when near everybody has bought that game and a quarter of them have traded it in by that point. It’s the reason why Nintendo’s first party titles retain their value the most out of everything, people buy those games and barely trade them in. Mario Kart 8 is still going for 38.50 with a pro card in trade and that game came out like when…May of last year? Also yes…you can look up trade values for your stuff now before you even walk into a store.
NPD sales for February are out
PS4 was again the top selling HOME console for the month. 3DS family (3ds, 2ds, 3ds xl, n3ds xl) actually managed to score top spot for that month. This gif from Gaf probably sums up the what’s going on with the PS4 at the moment:
Yeah if this goes on for the next 2 months then I da know what Microsoft is gonna do or even if they’ll plan on doing anything considering that both PS4 and Xbone are up 60% over their predecessors sales at this point in their LTD. Xbone so far has sold 85% more than they sold the previous month and Wii U is up 20% from the same period last year.
Both Zelda Majora’s Mask and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate charted (go MH4!) with Zelda taking the top spot over everything this month…and supposedly being the fastest selling handheld Zelda title to date. Monster Hunter 4U just barely made it into the top 10 but is also the fastest Monster Hunter in the US across all platforms and is also Capcom’s fastest selling title on the 3DS. The rest of the list is filled out by Evolve, Dying Light, CoD: Advanced Warfare, GTA V, NBA 2K15, Dragon Ball Xenoverse (can’t say I’m surprised…people are buying the hell out of it and we’re sold out currently), Minecraft, and The Order.
Well i know at least some people(like me) bought PS4s for Bloodborne. I wonder if that had any significant impact though. FF Type-0 may have some impact? what is coming out soon that’s big enough that would keep PS4 sales in the lead?
Bloodborne is really the only exclusive I can think of at that’s coming out in the first half of the year retail wise for Microsoft or Sony that’s generating a good amount of buzz. There were some people waiting on The Order but we know what happened with that. Microsoft’s exclusives so far are Forza 6 and Halo 5 but they’re coming out at the end of the year and of course we don’t know what else those 2 may be hiding come E3…especially Sony since Uncharted 4 got pushed back into Spring. I’m wondering if they’re just gonna let Halo 5 go unchallenged or if they have something else in mind of the holidays…cause Until Dawn ain’t it.
Hmm, I dunno then. I mean personally I would have bought a PS4 first anyway cause I’d rather support their controllers/menus(though the PS3 system menu was way better) etc. Well, the FIRST reason I would get any console is for specific games, but if they had the same games exactly I’d still play mostly on PS unless there were drastic performance differences like with Bayonetta 1
Also, speaking of Uncharted, I feel like I’m the only one that is somewhat glad it’s getting delayed. The biggest problem with U3 was that you could tell is was SUPER rushed toward the end because they kept sticking to a release date that was obviously way too soon. I say take all the time they need to make sure the game is as good, or better prefereably, as U2 was.
I see… Thanks for the clarification. I asked because it does seem odd that they destroy “defective” products before throwing them out. If it doesn’t work, why bother cutting the cord or disk? At first glance, it looks pretty spiteful, but I’m not the type to instantly condemn something based on a random video without inquiring further.
Sorry to continue to clutter this thread with CL links, but am I stupid for thinking this may not be a scam?
Sony mind share is just too strong, on top of the fuck ups from the other systems. MS still has the war chest to force parity and what not, but even then people are going to support the PS4 version regardless. You’ll hear bitching about “I didn’t buy a PS4 to have it gimped…” but that won’t matter since it’ll still sell better overall. I don’t see Sony getting to cocky either, as they know they can sell regardless.
OTOH this might mean a $100 Xbone with Scalebound. The past two E3s have delivered, so I’m expecting this one to be the best yet.

Lol Scalebound is almost assuredly going to be the system seller for me anyway. If that happens I’d be all up on it.
