I mean I liked the case, but jesus christ I hated having to drag ass the whole time. All it did was drag it out because they didnt feel like doing a 5th case.
Jesus Christ shut the fuck up Po. No you’re not the only one who still likes to push buttons. But games also don’t fall into just your narrow view of what is and isnt a game. Text adventure style games like the TellTale games have been around looooooong as fuck. Just stop man.
Ever since the DmC shit youve turned into the most annoying mother fucker, so high up your ivory tower I suspect its been jammed up your ass. Saying stupid as fuck bullshit like if wasnt for you, the oh so special and almighty you the only thing people would talk about is FF games and related bullshit. Get off your fucking high horse and join us back down here on earth please. Not every conversation around here needs to revolve around only the things you like dude.
You where right with the Cranky Kong comparison, and you where also right about how god damn sad that is. Stop being such a fucking stick in the mud dude. You’re not even enjoyable to have around anymore dude, all you do is whine and cry like a fucking bitch.
Well I don’t mean to be a dick head, but it’s getting old. All he does is complain, like I don’t even know what he’s been playing lately he never talks about what he plays anymore, just how pissed off he is at what everyone else is playing.
Do you even fucking game at all anymore Po? What have you been playing man?
Ace Attorney is far from a Visual Novel. You actually have to “DO STUFF” to advance the story.
You got more than just menu interaction, you go around and search around.
You got plenty of choices and exploration.
Not a good analogy but,Ace Attorney games are more like a turn based RPG minus the battle segments and more word/logic puzzles
Point and Click don’t equal visual novels.
Point and Click games still allow for a degree of exploration, choice and even multiple outcomes.
Monkey Island, Sam and Max, the Strong Bad Games, Shadow Gate, Deja Vu, Day of the Tentacle and Kings Quest as much more exploration, choices and options than visual Novels are.
A Visual Novel is like one of those Choose-your-own-adventure books in a electronic format.
Well again, JFA is definitely the worst game in the series. If you can make it through it, you got the superb Trials and Tribulations. Apollo Justice tends to fight for worst game spot but it’s enjoyable (plus a lot of the bleakness of the context of the game was immediately dealt with in Dual Destinies). Dual Destinies is a solid return for the franchise, though honestly way too easy for an AA game. Ace Attorney Investigations was meh, especially Turnabout Ablaze. AAI2 is superb.
How is it? Is it good? How much lik MMZ is it? The videos reminded me of MMZ. I wish I had a 3DS so I could play it, I’m still stuck here twiddling my thumbs waiting for M#9. Shit I’m half way through ANOTHER Dark Souls 1 build lol.
I really like Gunvolt. It’s similar, but totally different from MMZ…
For one, the “Prevasion” technique completely breaks the way you’re meant to play the game by making you essentially invincible so long as you have meter and are standing still-- You can get hit, activate Prevasion, and either kill the enemy or restore your meter and do it again due to the invincibility frames.
I don’t abuse it, as the game really wants you to move as quickly as possible from point A to B while taking as little damage as possible, but it’s there.
It’s a fun ass game, and the bonus Mighty Gunvolt is really cool… It’s a nice love-letter to old-school 8-bit platformers, and you get to play as Beck from MNo.9, so there’s that.
I had this same difference in opinion with Sonicabid about why JRPG’s are still great games. You don’t have to be in control of everything to have a good time. If you don’t want anything to do with something, don’t involve yourself with that thing. Disrupting a conversation to have your 2 cents on why something isn’t the best because you don’t agree with it is unnecessary.
Yeah, Gunvolt’s meter is used for his electrical attacks. When you hit enemies with your projectiles, they become “tagged” and can be zapped using GV’s electricity… This same meter is used for the Prevasion technique.
Prevasion uses a lot of meter, but as I said, the invincibility frames last for so long, you can refill your meter(by pressing Down twice on the pad), or kill the enemy you just Prevasion’d against. It’s really damn broken… I made a vow to myself to not abuse this tech as it really makes every opponent a joke basically.
That’s too bad it’s so abusable. It seems like M#9 might have this problem to with how the dash mechanic fills up an E-Tank type thing in the pause menu that refills your health. I’m hoping it only works this way, or only refills that E-Tank so fast because it’s the Beta Demo and will be better tuned in the final product. I’m capable of ignoring it myself, done it plenty of times in other games, but i prefer to just not have it be so damn broken to begin with hehe.
