Yeah, right… and Capcom is going to remember they own Mega Man sometime soon…
Much like Capcom, everyone that made anything that was worth a damn has long since left… Rare is just a name that reminds us of the days when it was a far better company.
Rare is important all right. Rare’s IPs will be thrown into Project Spark like Conker and M$ will tell us to make our own Battletoads, Banjo and Jet Force Gemini games.
Two. Guy started on one planet, hopped in a star ship, flew into space, through an armada and to another planet, landed and hopped out of his start ship. Was all seamless.
I haven’t watched The Strain, but yeah anyone who’s seen Del Toro’s films especially Pan’s Labryinth knows he and his crew deliver on fucked up creatures more than most others.
Well there’s more to silent hill then just the monsters but I’m hoping he at least knows the rule and lore of the series unlike all the other idiot US developers who thought they "knew"silent hill.
So when we upscale that to such a large existence to where one human being mathematically cannot visit them all in a lifetime, a randomly generated existence at that, I’m supposed to believe that those hundreds of thousands of planets will load without a single hitch? I’m not saying an infinite world cannot be done. Minecraft can attest to that. But even minecraft has hiccups in rendering what you see and loading the world in front of you. The game will either have load screens, slow to a crawl while it renders an area breaking immersion, or have a ton of empty space giving it the time it needs to reload a planet. When you account for the undescribed draw distance of planets, it looks even more open to skepticism.
I’m just saying we’ve seen too much shit over the past 3 years to get all up this games ass before it launches. You guys should know better by now than to expect sunshine and rainbows, or to realize that your expectations are far too high and will be the undoing of the title for you.
The only question I have for No Man’s Sky currently is how diverse are these planets going to be? Is each planet randomly generated?
I love having tons of area to explore but not if it all looks the same with a few different skins. With this considered who knows when this game will come out, but it’ll be amazing when it does.
So I guess we can expect a PC port in the future; perhaps nothing for Playstation consoles (although with such an established TR fanbase on those platforms I’d like to know what’d it take to get Square to agree to such terms)?
Fools should have said all this from the start. Of course there’d have still been backlash, but it wouldn’t have been as bad what with them mincing words & dodging questions.
I apologize for implying that you were as well. I was directing at Martian and anybody that might come to his aid in this argument.
We’ve seen triple A devs write smaller checks than this and completely drop the ball. All this talk from an Indie dev? Not buying it until I see a fully functional playable version. Not just a trailer.
Never got into the hype towards Kingdom Hearts. Maybe I was too manly to care about Disney and soft anime? IDK. I was more like “when’s dat Madden and 2K” back then. Now I have the KH 1.5 HD Remix whatever and I don’t know what to expect when I pop it in.
Just gonna say, Bloodborne impressed me, it feels like Dark Souls, it plays like DS, but it has a whole new dynamic on the speed of game and other stuff… Also, all those fancy lights effects that were on DS2?, they are on Bloodborne now. Uploading gameplay in a few minutes from a noob playing.
