…What more options would you want for Fighting Games? I mean, Lost Planet sure I understand. RE…I guess. But how many options would you actually want for FGs?
just the way the points and ranking systems work in general aren’t engaging at all. No one cares about points they do absolutely nothing for you its just a pure ladder. While I think even Tekken could have stepped it up some, WTF was a great step in the right direction.
It told you things like how often you won the first round compared to the second or third, throws broken, follow up damage after landing a launch. the stat tracking goes on and on if they coupled that kind of persistent stat tracking and player progression with actual content and unlocks you’d be in the modern age.
It’s a hell of a lot more engaging than did you win? Yes? Here take some points that don’t do anything. Oh you lost? Here let me take some points from you that don’t do anything.
“A lot of developers this generation are going for a higher resolution compared to 60fps which makes sense since it will allow them to add more post effects and do more on the screen at any given moment. In fact one of Sony’s own programmers prefers higher resolution than frame rate. Expect this norm to continue this generation.”
The $500 million dollar game isn’t 60 FPS because it’s cross gen…okay that’s cool some honesty there glad they didn’t have some “30 FPS is more cinematic than 60” bullshit excuse.
Why is it so hard for these dudes to just say, "We don’t know how these consoles work, so we can’t get 1080p/60fps, even though that’s what we promised while we were shitting on Nintendo, who, ironically, CAN easily achieve 1080p/60fps on their “underpowered console…”
This is the real reason why the unfinished Smash Bros. 4 demo looks and feels smoother than Watch Dogs, not that other bullshit these developers keep shoveling out there.
You have become predictable joke you know?
Tell me, what is the point of bragging about 1080p 60fps on the WiiU when the games barely look like current gen games?
Compare what the developers can do with the new gen consoles and compare it with what it can be done on the WiiU, like it or not graphics sell, and while i will be happy if everything runs at 1080p 60fps, not every game needs that, plus not every company developing games is doing 1080p 30fps games.
This is refreshingly honest. I think the last time they were so straght-forward regarding hardware potential was when the X1 was first revealed and they said they “purposefully did not target the highest end graphics.”
The only major WiiU game to run at native 1080p & a solid 60fps is Rayman Legends. Most everything else is upscaled.
