I don’t go to the site often, but I enjoyed some of their content, like Pop Fiction. The article didn’t mention any notable people like Stuttering Craig.
Am I still crazy, or…? Wasn’t the original Sleeping Dogs already in HD? I mean… It was on PS360. Why is this one being treated as if it’s some kind of PS2 rerelease?
PC Sleeping Dogs runs at a consistent 60+ FPS and is the best looking open-world game I’ve ever played. Takes a shit on GTAV and Watch_Dogs from a great height.
For PC too? But the PC already runs in HD & even has a free HD texture pack (thanks @Sonicabid). Unless gasp Square-Enix gon’ remodel Wei Shen like they did with Lara.
Honestly I couldn’t believe how good the game looked for being open-world. The HD texture pack(that the developers put together themselves) is gorgeous. Detailed as hell.
Yea I played a bit of Sleeping Dogs on PC at a friends house…Was mad jelly, it looks so gooooood. Would re-buy on PS4. I’ve played through it like 6 or 7 times already, still havin fun.
It’s like this for most games when it comes to the console versions VS PC.
BioShock Infinite on console compared to PC doesn’t even look like the same game. The textures are washed out and muddy on consoles, yet they’re detailed as hell and they gleam with the light of Jesus himself on PC.
It’s different now that PS4/Xbone can do what PC’s can do(DirectX11, tessellation and more.) Whereas PS3/360 are still on DirectX9, without features DX11 and up can do.
Every console game I played on console first, then later played on PC was a night and day difference not only in graphics, but performance too, which is probably why these “next-gen” consoles aren’t all that impressive to me.
Lords of Shadow 2 on PC looks better than most PS4/Xbone games. The attention to detail is insane.
Entertainment Weekly picked Miyamoto’s brain on some things including some of what he’s thinking for Star Fox
Sounds like he really wants to go in on this game. Don’t know how I feel about the Project Robot prototype possibly becoming a part of Star Fox but we’ll see what happens.
Aonuma knows people want the Majora’s Mask remake, says he’s 'doing everything he can’
Nintendo suggested Bayonetta show more skin in her LoZ costume to stay more true to the character
Incredibly interesting considering people were thinking that Nintendo was going to go out of their way to censor the game in the beginning.
Wii U actually managed to move to second place over in Japan last week…and Smash Bros. Brawl gets a sales revival
Think it’s the first time in a whole year it’s been anywhere near that position. Vita is still selling pretty solidly and PS4 sales have slowed to about 10,000 a week. 3DS is of course still blowing it up over there.
I was fucking around at a local gamestore today, and realized I never actually played Stranglehold even though I did the demo many years ago. It’s fun, like a lesser Max Payne, and is the definition of a cheesy action movie. Apparently I did 9 million dollars of collateral damage on just the first level
Yea, the problem with Stranglehold tho was the first level was the best one, and they got progressively worse with each new one you got to. That first level is the definition of Vertical Slice, because it is chock full with tons and tons of great stuff. The set up for the rooms and hallways in the level are really well done with interesting geometry to jump dive around, and lots of tables and counters around to slide on an shit. Lots of carts around to jump onto and roll on, rails to run down, multiple ways to approach each gunfight. But those quickly disappear as you get deeper into the game and it starts being really samey and linear. It’s to bad that first level legit feels like playing Hard Boiled The Video Game, but the rest of it just kinda falls apart.
Now let’s clear some things up about Po’s Capcom “hate”-
I used to love Capcom the way people fangasm over ArcSys and Atlus games, then they decided that money was more important than quality and fired or ran off all the talented people there: Hideyaki Kamiya, Shinji Mikami, and Keiji Inafune being the prime examples of the talent they lost.
That killed off a lot of franchises and potential franchises… Mega Man got tossed in an unmarked grave in 2011 and then pissed on multiple times, Viewtiful Joe joined him shortly thereafter… Street Fighter and RE, along with Monster Hunter are the only things keeping them afloat… and I won’t even get into the DMC/DmC shit again.
The pursuit of greed at the cost of quality products ruined one of the greatest developers of our time, and I see the potential for them to turn it around, but for every one thing they get right, they fuck up in 894 other ways.
So yeah, that’s why I’m as harsh as I am on Capcom, they have and can do better, but refuse to take the necessary measures… It’s not like Nintendo where they are simply damned if they do and damned if they don’t because they are stuck between the rock of their idiot fanbase and the hard place of no third-party support.
