Video Game Confessions

I thought Drakenguard 1 and 2 were awesome games and unlocked everything in both.

I also played and beat the “Xena Warrior Princess” game.

I also love “The Misadventures of Tron Bonne” but never beat it.

Edit:
I also tried to do a speed run for Ninja Gaiden 2(nes) but quit after 1 hour.

I bought FFXI FFXII and FFXIII.

=/

My dad rented that game for my sister, and something awesome for me, and my little league baseball team came over, and everybody sat there and watched me beat the Little Mermaid in one life.

You should definitely try NHL 10 then. Seriously, the game wins sooooo many sports awards every year, and people ignore it because they hate REAL hockey. This shit is still arcade folks, at least try a demo and realize why people enjoy the game so much.

hells no, Turok 2 sucked compared to Turok 1. They get rid of all the badass weapons, begin the process to get rid of dinosaurs (later games got worse), and don’t keep any of the badass enemies (like weapon mounted dinosaurs, or the awesome Cyber T-Rex). The new Turok was a step in the right direction (dino’s in MP), but implemented horribly (just some randomly spawning raptors…where’s my T-Rex MP level?).

holy shit I did the same thing. I kept reading how it would be like super Oblivion, and then I got it and saw the names of the developers and realized the entire game was made by a Polish dev team, and then I shuddered.

my current confession is that I think this gen is fucking SHIT. Sure, we’ve gotten a few gems here and there, but for the most part it seems like last gen with better graphics, and a few shitty attempts to bring online gaming to the masses (sure we ALL play online, but DLC is sporadic at best, and massively expensive). I mean, I can’t even buy a fucking hockey jersey for my avatar, and it costs me 5 bucks to advertise a game or dev company on an avatar shirt, wtf??? Halo 3 should have had a new map EVERY MONTH

edit: and I never played a single Sonic game ever

I also tried like EVERY code that ANYBODY would tell me was an SNES Mortal Kombat blood code. Seriously, you could walk up to me in grade 7 and tell me “Try the konami code” and I would go home and try it for like 10 minutes, thinking I must be fucking it up. Then the next day I would try again.

Why would you be ashamed or not finishing a FF game? Those games are for dorks.

The only game I truly like is Puzzle Bobble. Everything else is either meh or a “good meh”

I play with the girl in Harvest Moon.

I liked MGO at first but the more I played it I started to get annoyed. The bullshit headshots was the worst thing about it among some of the things you mentioned.

  • When PS3 came out I was hyped for Sonic 2006 and bought that piece of shit game instead of Resistance: FOM. I did not start enjoying PS3 until I got that game.

  • I bought KOFXII

  • I defended HAZE until they released the demo and then I found out how shit was.

Holy shit THIS. When I was little I got up to the second Island with the medieval castle. I have Crash 1 on my PS3, I should go back and finish it.

TBH though I haven’t beat all the sequels. I’ve only beat the ones that matter: 2, 3 and wrath of cortex.

I only play with girls in a lot of games. Everybody claims it’s gay, and I never understand how playing as a cute and sexy girl is gayer than staring at a ripped muscular dude with tattoos and shit. I made a chick avatar once and that didn’t go over well either.

  • I still enjoy baseball and hockey video games, especially old-school ones like Super Bases Loaded and NHL '94.
  • I bought a PS3 for Wipeout HD, and a PSP for Wipeout Pure. I love that series.
  • I’ve been hesitant to buy a Wii until they announce a new F-Zero.
  • I’ve never touched any game in the following series: Half-Life, Unreal, Starcraft, Warcraft, Quake, Fire Emblem, Diablo, Call of Duty
  • Until I got into SF, Soul Calibur IV was the best fighting game ever made. And it’s still better than 80% of 3D fighters in my opinion.
  • I still refer to Vampire Savior as Darkstalkers 3 from time to time, and Super Gem Fighter as Pocket Fighter. Deal with it.
  • I was into Halo 2 huge when I was in 9th and 10th grade, cause all my friends were playing it.
  • the best racing game >>> the best fighting game (wait, wrong thread)

My dad and I kept BOOKS of stats from Bases Loaded. And NHL 94 was the beginning of the goodness. Seriously, more people need to play the new NHL games. EVERY EA sports game is worth at least trying, seriously. I hate basketball and baseball, but enjoy the games. NHL 10 is fun as shit to play, and I’ve been secretly playtesting NHL 11 off and on again (my buddy has his ways lol).

No games really interest me for the Wii, and the PS3 Move will be the same shit, as will the Kinect if not better. I want a PS3 for bluray, but honestly can’t think of many games that I want, besides fucking SSFIV so I can play some PS3 owners lol

I fucking HATE World of Warcraft. People meaning WoW, and I literally ragequit IRL. I keep a controller with me at all times just to throw when they mention WoW. I hate what it does to some people, and I hate people who stop playing every other game because they need to justify paying hundreds of dollars a year to play one game.

Ironically enough, when I was 12 I got a tattoo of a picture from the Warcraft II manual.

fix’d. Seriously, if they added a decent branching chain throw system and better grappling for the grappler characters, and simplified the reversal system, and fixed the shitty 3d controls lol, it would be an incredible title. DOA5 makes me wet.

I can’t play racing games. At all. I can beat a few things here and there, and Need for Speed ANYBODY can beat. But I am a fucking HORRIBLE racing game player. Probably the worst you have ever seen, no lie.

I bought Ecco the Dolphin instead of Streets of Rage 2.

I know, I should have killed myself decades ago.

haha we chirp my buddy about that all the time

I genuinely liked ZOE (couldn’t give a monkey’s about the mgs demo) but never got to play the sequel.

I loved playing dynasty warriors on the ps2; I thought the concept was freaking brilliant.

I loved FF10 and actually prefer it to 7 (which I also loved even though all I did was put on loads of hp plus materia so all my chars had 9999 hp)

i just played (the nes+snes versions of) zelda and metroid for the first time last month. can’t say that i’m too impressed.
x-2 is a great game and is underrated because its feared by those who think girls have cooties.

anyways, this is pretty low but i play facebook games (not farmville). there actually are some pretty decent ones out there.

Although I still randomly play fighters, and show up to the local gatherings (I play anything except SSFIV) I want to commit genocide on a large portion of the fighting game community. People have been taking it waaay too seriously IMO, and also I want to beat the asses of people that come up with thread titles in the SFIV and MVC3 areas such as “Chun-Li fellowship of the thigh” I would quit FG’s if it hadn’t been such a big a part of childhood.

When I buy a game, I play it for a couple of days, stop playing for almost a year, and then pick it back up and finally beat it.

I really like talking about games, but I don’t play as many games as I thought I would.

I only have maybe 5 games in my possession. I really dont care to collect games, just play them.

I’ve played a shitload of mario and zelda games, but they aren’t really my favorite franchises.

  1. I HATED playing SFIV. It made me rage occasionally and is the only SF game I’ve ever hated. That is until…
  2. SSFIV. I bought into the hype already hating SFIV yet I somehow told myself it was worth it. Fucking HATED SSFIV. I traded that shit in for a large meal at Pollo Tropical and that was the best thing I got from that game.
  3. I love Star Ocean 3. I grinded like Hell in that game. I bought Star Ocean 4 and returned it on the mentality that it blew ass. The irony? Everything I hated about SO4, was in SO3.
  4. I rather play DMC2 over DMC1 any day. I really like the intro too.
  5. I couldn’t finish Dead Space because it scared me too much. I’m pretty much a virgin with the horror genre.
  6. RE4 scared me at times. See above.
  7. When I was younger I broke 3 copies of SF Anniversary collection and then proceeded to buy another copy and I still have that copy today.
  8. I enjoy playing FF8 more than 7 and 9 because I can just really tolerate that game even though I beat both 7 and 9 and never beat 8.
  9. I keep playing Tales games but find them to be really boring often forcing myself through them until Vesperia which I think is the best Tales game and I still think it’s not that good.
  10. One of my favorite things about Dante and Bayonetta is the vast options in combat they have, however Shinobi(PS2) is still top contender for favorite action game despite not have many options and Hostuma’s sword being unlocked being the only really new thing he gets.
  11. FF XIII is the only FF game(aside from XI) that I refused to play because it just seems boring as shit with a very dull cast.
  12. I hate all mini games in the FF series despite becoming fairly good at Blitzball.
  13. I played through FFX 4 times just to see how fast I could beat it.
  14. The first time I beat FFX I was such a scrub at RPGs that my time on that game was 300+ hours. That was the first save file.
  15. The first PS2 game I bought was a PS1 game Dragon Warrior 7. Why? Hell if I know.

I have a crush on Bayonetta.

If given the option, I always pick the skimpier outfits when playing a game with female characters.

I haven’t played a single Crash Bandicoot, Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, Splinter Cell, Dragon Quest, or Jak & Dexter game.

Mario Galaxy 1+2 are very good but buying a wii for those alone, meh imo… only thing my wii is being used for now is a genesis and n64 emulator(which should be updated to the point where the games I care about are playable) since none of them work for vista…

<- Using a modded wii because fuck nintendo yeeahhhh lol(nah jk dumps are hard to find for wii games as far as i know, only helps for gamecube)…

I bought Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness on release date.

I have never beat SOTN even though I own it.

I can kara uppercut but I can’t kara throw.

I had a game save where I won over a 100 games of Blitzball and never lost one.

I never owned a SNES until I bought one when I was in HS, I always played my uncles or friends.

CFJ is a better fighting game then people give it credit for.
