Video Game Confessions

90% of my PSX and PS2 games are burned. Both my PS2s can’t read discs anymore to due me alternating between playing burned and real games too many times.
I had a dedicated FFX save file just for Blitzball.
I played a Mary-Kate & Ashley game on PSX and beaten it.
I took my Wii in for repairs, and I never touched it again when I got it back.
I label myself as a Tales fan, but I’ve never finished Tales of the Abyss.

I played, and liked, the original The Little Mermaid game on the NES WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY back in the day.

I was only 7 or something.

I’d rather have Devil My Cry 2 canon over Devil May Cry 4.

Also, I bought ZOE JUST to play the MGS2 demo, like every other person in existence. Though, the ZOE series is good in its own right.

The Dead or Alive series is over so… that’s pretty much it for fighting games. Meh, the rest just seem combo masher, turtling or just plain gimmicky in another way. I would rather get a perfect destroying a persons mind to using 1 combo. That’s just the type of gamer I am. As for fighting games, I have played probably at least 60% of all the fighting games you could find in game stop and quite a few on the pc as well.

for the last 5 years or so, i’ve been shamefully more of a video game collector than player. i have thousands of dollars worth of games laying on my shelf collecting dust. i began selling games i don’t play since last summer.

^ im almost in the same boat. i get hyped for so many games and buy them and try to get hard to find stuff that i say i will play but never have the time for it. its just so hard when you have to work so much, and try ti stay competitive in fighters to have time for other games. I also start school soon so its gunna be even more of a challenge.

some of my confessions are

i bought a xbox for halo 2 and online guilty gear and only played it for like 2-3 weeks.
i still have games shrink wrapped from xmas.
i fell in to the hype for monster hunter 3 for wii. decided i wanted the game the day before it came out. bought it, played it for 2 weeks then sold it to a friend, because it took up to much time.
Am in love with demons souls and its the only game i want to %100 but i just think about the time it would take and dont play it.

i can’t believe we’re facebook friends.

1.) I played all the way through Final Fantasy 12 just to fight Yiazmat (which was a nonstop 4 hour battle for me…). I also have a secondary save file just before Gilgamesh just so I can hear the song every once in a while. Oh yeah, I farmed for 3 Zodiac Spears in the Mines (don’t worry though, took only an hour through RNG manipulation)
2.) I get freaked out by video game glitches, I have no idea why.
3.) I have the code to the Major Circuit (and only that code) in Punch-Out!! memorized, (first saw it when I was 7 and never forgot it because I never wanted to face Bald Bull again… this was before I found out 2 years later after finally beating Soda Popinski that you have to fight him again.)
4.) I beat Super Mario Bros. 2, 3, Super Mario 64, and The Lost Levels before being able to finally beat Super Mario Bros. (the original). Ended up beating it when I was 12.
5.) I have played the old fighting game Power Moves more than Street Fighter 2, even though I got them at the same time.
6.) I honestly played Castlevania Portrait of Ruin after beating it in every mode JUST to grind with every playable character up to level 99 when I was getting my laptop repaired. Though now I have some great no hit strats for the Nest of Evil.
7.) I bought Wario World, over F-Zero GX.
8.) I ended up buying F-Zero GX.
9.) I used to be scared of Altered Beast.
10.) Finally, and this one I’m really ashamed of… when I was about 7, my older cousin asked me if he could play with my gameboy for a little while. I was selfish and said no in an angry way. That was the last thing I ever said to him. He died in a hospital the next week.

Another one.

I’ve played FF VII through XIII, only to never finish any of them/get past the first disc, respectively.

You win!

I turned off the power on my NES WITHOUT HOLDING THE RESET BUTTON

I own a Sega Saturn and still have it. It still works.

I bought plenty of crappy games for it. Need for Speed being the worse.

lol I’m a huge Final Fantasy fan although I don’t want to complete them because it would be over then (only completed FFX).
I have that problem with a lot of games which left a lot unfinished.
I salute every time I hear MGS ending theme.
I think MGS2 was better than 3.

It was all about Kyoko back in the day.

Pre-release hype made me do this:

That’s suicide worthy.

  • I spent 2007, 2008 and 2009 primarily playing the current Smackdown VS RAW online.
  • Only other game I played much was Test Drive Unlimited. I could do that or SVR for 8 hour stints. It was bad.
  • I had Smackdown VS RAW 2008 and 2009 ALL for 360/PS3/PS2/Wii/DS. No PSP.
  • This gen has taken my will for fighting games away. I could give a damn less, when there’s soooo much more.

Im not exactly embarresed about it, but…

I beat and unlocked every achievement for the burger king games.

i left my battletoads game running for 3 days straight waiting for the rat pack to catch me.

I have never finished a single Legend of Zelda game.
I have never played any Final Fantasy game pre-PlayStation.
Final Fantasy X-2 is my favorite game of all time.
Despite my former obsession with all things Metroid, I have never beaten the first, second, or third games in the series. Yes, the third game is Super Metroid. I haven’t beaten it. Ever. I probably never will.
I’ve never finished the first, second, or third Super Mario Bros. games. I’ve never even played Super Mario Sunshine or Super Mario Galaxy.
I hate Sonic the Hedgehog. I always have.

I was really hype for Sonic and the Secret Rings, as I thought that it would be a return to glory for the franchise. Humble pie never tasted so bitter.

I only played FFVII to the part where Aeris gets stabbed in the back by Sephiroth, and turned the game off forever pretending it was the end while laughing uncontrollably.
