Next December will be the 10th anniversary of my PS1 copy of A3, great condition too! sometimes I give the thing a spin on my PS3 slim.
it took me 3 years to beat Oblivion. Between 360’s getting stolen, RRODing, playing other games, and just plain not having the time to put into the game, I just never managed to finish it until earlier this year. And I got it the day it released.
Word. Ive had my copy since 99 or so. Im pretty sure I was 19 when I got that shit. I still fire it up on the old ps1 that I have sitting out in my garage.
I played final fantasy 9 on that ps1 for a bit, but I just couldnt get into it. Thats my favorite final fantasy game too.
I use to like dragon ball so I imported some dbz game. I was all stocked and couldnt wait to get it. It sucked and I only played it for like an hour and never touched it again. I still have it. I even had to buy some dumb adapter to be able to play it. I still have that too.
I remeber when fighter maker came out, I was stocked for that shit too. I was thinking I was gonna be able to make some dope ass fighting game character or whatever. I played that game for a little while, tried to make a fighter and gave up. I got stuck on the color of the fighters clothes or something. Never touched the game again. Its still sitting there.
Speaking of oldies:
- I have my original copies of all Tokyo Xtreme Racer games, all were bought new. Meaning part one is 11 years old, part 2 is 10, Zero = 9, TXR3 is 7.
- Still have my original DC VMU and controller from 99.
- Still have ALL saves from my PS2 career on my PS3, even for games I’ll never touch again.
Other
-
I have had 8 360’s.
-
My current 360 has been modded, RROD’d, home fixed, then banned for playing Forza early, and now houses new Jasper internals with a HDD/console case swap so I have a Jasper Halo 3 Edition with 250GB HDD.
-
I have had PS3 about the same time as 360, and still have the same launch 60GB.
-
More than any fighting game sequel I want:
Mass Effect 3
Saint’s Row 3
Tokyo Xtreme Racer 5 (TXR 4 could be considered the one on 360)
Test Drive Unlimited 2
WWE SVR that doesnt suck dog dick.
I still have my original MvC2, Shenmue, and Soul Calibur for my Dreamcast, but no Dreamcast to play them on. =(
ROFL. VIII and X have big whomping heterosexual love (Squall/Rinoa, Tidus/Yuna) as a MAIN FOCUS OF THE STORY.
Bad place to use that joke, sir.
But Soul Calibur 2 didn’t come out on the Dreamcast…
Shut yo mouf. You know what I meant. =X I get confused because SC was the sequel to Soul Edge/Soul Blade, so I always put that rudimentary 2 to recognize it as a sequel…
You guys seriously need to just give TMNT for the NES a chance. This game was outstanding, and IMO, the best TMNT game ever made:
-
You can swap between all the Turtles, who had different pros/cons. And if they run out of life, you can rescue them…none of this unrealistic multiple life crap, you had to ration pizzas and treat them like a team…a family, who wants to come out of this thing alive.
-
You can drive the Turtle Van! The only TNMT game where you can do that. Running over foot soldiers never gets boring!
-
The music is top notch. One of the few games where every single song is outstanding. For example, Level 5’s overworld theme is straight up gangsta! Period.
LISTEN TO THIS PLEASE:

-
Extra weapons. This is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Why restrict them to just their signature weapons? Here, you can get ninja stars (one and triple), boomerags, and Geese Howard’s Reppuken!
-
Exploration. You get a overworld map where you can walk the streets, hop in the sewers, go in buildings, drive around, all that shit.
Now I like TMNT: The Arcade Game, TNMT: The Manhattan Project, and TMNT: Turtles in Time, but lets face it: all these games are mindless beat-em-ups. TMNT for the NES is a real, fleshed-out game that has depth and requires actual skill to beat. This is what I want in a TMNT game: corordinate a team of mutant turtles in a open world full of action, purpose, and kick-ass music.
And I know you guys don’t like the underwater level; it was a pain for me too. But once you get the layout, it’s really quite easy. And if you quit at this part like so many have, then you really havent experienced the game.
TMNT (NES): It’s a great game.
-When I preordered and bought DOA2, I didn’t even had a Dreamcast yet.
-Fallout 3 is the only FPS-like game that gives me migraines. Possibly because of the whole its really dark in one minute, then it gets bright as holy hell the following minute. Not to mention the bright lighting when you turn on the Pip Boy light where anything is steel. I still love Fallout 3 to death though.
-I’m one of the very few who actually played Fighting Bujutsu in its original large Konami Cobra Japanese Cab, it only lasted in the arcade for a week before it was removed.
-I thought KOF2001 was a great game.
-Warzard is still the most beautiful looking fighter of all time with the greatest boss designs of all time. I still own the Warzard strategy guide that shows concept art, and mini manga with Tessa in the tub.
-I beat Ghost n’ Goblins for the NES when I was 5 with the extra weapon. I can’t do that anymore.
overly metro then?
Couldn’t really think of anything that I could remember except one thing.
I’ve never played a RE game and kinda want to.
That’s funny because MGO was probably the funnest online game I have played, despite all the bs lag and ridiculous learning curve. MGO was also the primary reason why I bought a PS3. That game was my whole summer
i would say start with #2
Oh yeah! I have a Tiger R-Zone wooo-hoooo. This thing blows Virtual Boy out of the water and is much more portable. You also don’t look like an idiot at all when playing it.

And here are some of the beautiful red games!
The racing classic Daytona USA:

The definitive version of Mortal Kombat 3:

And here’s Area 51 with all the fun of aiming at like 4 quadrants of a screen:

Say what you want about the only color being red, but at least admit that this is the pinnacle of video game audio.
See, that works.
Although, I still like Squall and Tidus.
I would say 2 then REmake. So you get a feel of how the old school ones play. Then Code Veronica X (the best IMO) then 4 and 5. And put 3 in there somewhere.
TMNT 1 for NES was good, but wayyyy hard.
The only MGS I’ve played is the 1st one =(
I also bought the DMC ps2 trilogy, even though I haven’t actually played it.
Someone once said that Tidus has Meg Ryan hair.
