Video Game Confessions

When playing Sonic CD or SFII my cousin was crying he wanted to play. At some point I unplugged his controller when he wasn’t looking and played by myself just telling him he was doing good for hours.

For some reason I bought Tomb Raider 2 for the PC even though I wasn’t a big fan of the game. My PC could barely run it and just lost interest.

I don’t think I have played a Resident Evil, Silent Hill or GTA just cause it doesn’t appeal to me. The only sports game I remember owning is Madden 2001 which came with the PS2.

Remember someone dropped there MAG or whatever those item that float over your shoulders in PSO and I didn’t pick it up. Yet when I asked for it the guy said no. This was on my friends dreamcast and he was pissed that I didn’t outright steal it. Saying if he dropped it his fault. Supposedly it is rare to get more than one that you start with.

Bought Sparkster for the Genesis confusing it with I believe Rocket Knight Adventures.

I threw away Phantasy Star for the sega master system when I was about…5-6. Cause I didn’t understand RPGs and for some reason gave me nightmares. Now I believe its considered rare to even own it.

I can’t stand the recent Call of Duty games.

When I first got the game as a Christmas gift, I pimped it hard. My friends got hooked and then word of mouth spread throughout the high school, then wind of it caught on in the town among the younger kids. It was like a plague, everyone had it. Hilariously enough, by the time they had all gotten the game. I had finally seen the game for the garbage it really was and traded it.

also,
-I liked Tekken 4.

I own a 32x, and a nomad

I have beaten sonic 3d blast, but have never finished sonic spinball

I played sengoku basara x a lot. It was the only thing we played for several months. Even now watching the SBO qualifiers I am wondering why they are playing like shit and doing stuff that I did on day one and stopped doing by day two. Then I remember that pretty much everyone stopped playing this trash after day one.

I think phantasy star (main series) is better than final fantasy

I hate ocarina of time, and any zelda games in 3d

I got a couple more.

I actually bought KOFXII brand new full price. Hyped for the named brand.
Boy that was an instant fail there.

I also bought VF5 for PS3 for full price with no online play. Another epic fail.

And yea my family bought me Shaq Fu man one Christmas. I got a boatload of crappy games lol.

I always used to do this when my parents used to force me to let my little cousins play. I can’t stand watching them play on my system when all they do is stand in one place doing random actions lol.

I’ve never beaten FF7
I almost beat FF6, but my SNES froze during the end boss fight erasing all my saved game data… i’ve never played that game since
I never beat ChronoTrigger because my team was too weak when fighting Lavos
I traded my copy of Turtles for Fester’s Quest. -.- My friend ripped me off

oh yeah…

-I’m one of the 3 or 4 people in existence that never bought a Ps2. I still don’t have one.

-I hated Super Street Fighter simply because it was slower than the previous “Crazy” editions (*which I didn’t even realize were illegal mods or whatever until many years later when coming to this forum), and because it had yet another Bruce Lee character. It quickly got annoying to me that nearly every damn fighting game out there had a “Bruce Lee” somewhere on the roster. To me it’s simply a waste of character space. SF Alpha came out and was even SLOWER, so by that point I just gave up on the franchise. If the action is sped up, anything less from that point on is just like going backwards to me.

-I hate “keyboard/mouse” as a means of control in a game. I tried to adapt to it, but I just can’t. It’s such an unbelievably awkward way to play just about anything.

-Rumble Roses XX on 360 did successfully arouse me. The photo-shoot mode definitely stirred my loins. If they could just make a new one with much better and more realistic graphics next gen (I want real-time 3d that is at least on par with the FF:Advent Children movie.)…I would definitely get that.

-I am ashamed to say that I bought one of the DLC costumes for Ninja Gaiden 2. Pitiful, considering I will never play that game again, since Mentor/Master Ninja made me despise the game.

-Even worse… I have purchased a couple of “gamerpics” before. This was long ago, shortly after I got my first 360. That’s disgusting that I spent money on some bullshit like that.

-I am forever entertained by characters and things in games that are ridiculously overpowered. This is the primary reason for my obsession with Fable 2, as the main character there is so godlike it’s hilarious and fun.

so much talk about ff; i guess i’ll say my piece on the franchise:

i beat ff7 3 times on separate occasions. not because i really like the game, but because i forgot that i ever played it at all and thought “i really need to play ff7 at least once so i can see what all the hype is about”. 3 times!.. never again.

i dislike the ff6 storyline, and i think the game is terribly emo–even more emo than ff8.

ffx-2 is my fave ff game. 1. because it has the best battle system (job system) and 2. because it expands upon the ff with the best story (ffx).

I too am guilty of this. Mindless slaughter in the thousands just makes me happy.

^Pretty much the same thing here.

My own personal confession: I bought both Klonoha games and beat them. Yes. I did.

-Starhammer-

-I play brawl+ competitively with friends
-The only FF I beat was 9, on my PSP
-I think Oracle of Seasons/Ages is the best Zelda game I ever played

-My favorite SF theme is Ryu’s in A3.
-I was turned on by Rumble Roses females on PS2. I even did further digging for images of the RR girls. RR is the only wrestling game I ever liked. I even considered getting it on PS2 and was upset that 360 got the sequel.
-I think that Cammy is the finest SF female until C.Viper showed up. I always thought that Cammy, despite her flat ass, was way hotter than Chun Li.
-Someone pointed out that I hate Chinese females in FGs and I do. Chun Li/Xiayou/Jam/Litchi(I guess)
-I never liked Ryu period. Hell I used to hate him and I emotionally give up when I came across him in SFIV yet I play him in every SF game.
-Evil Ryu in CVS2 is one of my favorite incarnations of Ryu because I think his voice and winpose is badass.
-Eventhough I play Akuma the most in any SF save for ST, my footsies is best with Ryu.
-I hate Chun Li so much, I’d rather face ST Sagat/ST Akuma/SFIV Sagat over the weakest version of Chun Li any day.
-Any RPG I’ve never beaten I refuse to finish because I find that I’ve had enough.
-I tend to pick well rounded characters in FGs(close range and with a DP mostly) and no matter how easy they are to use I have the hardest time using them(Sol Badguy/Kyo Kusanagi/Iori Yagami)
-I broke several controllers in the early years of high school. I broke one over DOA2 on hardest difficulty which resulted in my hatred for Kasumi. I even fixed it and got it to work again only for me to punch it so hard it split in half.
-I gave up on Resonance of Fate because I thought it was too complicated.
-Despite owning 3 copies of GG XX Accent Core, I used to boot up GG XX Slash because Sol had a much better voice in that game.
-I try to counter everything with DPs if I don’t know what else can beat it, surprisingly I attack so damn much that after every knockdown you can just do a dp near me and there’s a HUGE chance I’ll get hit by one.
-I wanted to play Juri in SSFIV because I thought she was damn sexy.
-I picked up and never finished Vandal Hearts for PSX because I read that the main character can become so damn overpowered he could win all by himself.
-In Dynasty Warriors my favorite character is Lu Bu. In DW4 I made him so damn strong that I couldn’t defeat him anymore and would have to run away on Hu Lao Gate.

The last FF I’ve played seriously and beaten was 10.

Some I just remembered:
My first video game system was a Sega Genesis, my second? an NES, I didn’t get a PSX until 1997. I never owned an SNES, N64 or Dreamcast until someone sold me a DC, 2 Agetec sticks, a burned copy of Sonic Adventure 2 that didn’t work, and an N64 with 3 extra controllers,Goldeneye, Mario Kart, and Mario 64, at a yard sale all for 40 bucks. Castlevania SOTN was my first Castlevania ever and FFVII was my first FF. The first special move I learned in any fighting game was a sonic boom(sf2). I’ve never beaten the original Mario Bros. or Mario 2. I beat Super Metroid 100% at a local Sears by going every day afterschool and holding up the line whenever I played. I have never played Hyper Fighting in arcades. Even though 3S is my favorite SF, I don’t realy mind going to tournaments for ssf4.

I never managed to beat the original Super Mario Bros.

I hated 3rd strike, and SSF4. CvS2>MvC2. Dark stalkers 3, and ST still the best fighters ever

My online gaming resume is horrible. I didn’t start online gaming until 2006 with CS 1.6 and it was the only online game I played until 2008. To this day, there is only a handful of games I have played online. I have never been on XBOX live, PSN, or Wii network. 99% of my online gaming experiences have been through Steam and GGPO.

So you view yourselfr as an umbrella?

I love Halo and eargerly away Reach. I only ever play the campaigns and am perfectly happy with this. Same for Modern Warfare and FPS in general. I never play the MP. only the capaign and I have a lot of fun with them this way.

He’s got a point though…

And before you ask, yes, I would like to get beaten to a pulp by a girl and provoked to kiss her ass. Don’t judge me man.

hes right in a way and wrong in a way. yes, your avatar can reflect the person, but in what kind of way? having a girl avatar can mean you can relate to girls or that you simply like or are attracted to girls; for example, when someone has an avatar of bewbs i’d like to think its the latter.
