EDIT: When you do get to playing it, DMC and DMC2 didn’t age very well at all, are downright terrible atm… DMC4 is decent but didn’t live up to 3…
i hate pretty much every rpg jap character out there, because well i pretty much hate every jap rpg in existence, and plus the characters are all a bunch of angsty skinny pansy emo **** with long girly pink hair and delicate slender wrists. i half expect them to start furiously making out with each other at any second. similarly, any fighting game character who doesn’t look like goku i despise.
similarly i’m especially pissed how my favorite childhood game series, megaman, and megaman X, turned both heroes into little girly emo kids as the series progressed. BLAGH.

I wish I knew about those videos when I started playing. I saw a beast DMC3 combo video and all I could replicate(to a degree) is the jump cancel loops.

The problem with girly, sissy anime JRPG characters only existed when they made them have dialogue. Which explains why Crono was a badass and why everyone after him was shitty and stupid.

He was nothing but anger and yelling even before the events that made him all white with the chains on the arms. There’s just no depth to the character, nothing interesting.
Also, if the only point of a character is to bait men into playing the game then the character sucks and that’s why I don’t like them.

You know what I mean. I can live with the big, hulking, stupid, club-wielding ones, but the little flea man like ones that always have issues with life of one kind or another get on my nerves. They’re like chihuahuas of adventure games. If you run into a gang of them, you get trolled to death just like real life. Annoying ass pests.
