Video Editing help needed

Hi guys,

I am using a Gamebridge 1410 device to capture video over USB from camcorders for my youtube account. But recently my Windows Movie Maker software refuses to edit video anymore, it will 99% of the time crash as soon as I drag and drop a video onto the timeline at all.

I tried turning video accelleration off, which doesn’t help.

Can you recommend any software that is free? All I need to do is snip out the parts of the video I don’t need for length reasons. I have two programs that work well for the purpose, video redo plus and AVI MPG RM WMV splitter, but in one of them the trial ran out, and in the other the max video length on the shareware version is 2 minutes.

So, can anyone help me fix WMM, or recommend any free software that works for snipping video? Thanks.

Virtual Dub.

As far as a fix for WMM. Remove/Delete the program and dl it again from MS. Of course make sure you have SP2 and check for the latest updates.

Can I do this if my XP is less than legit, though?

 Oh, okay… yes. You’ll have to use MUBlinder to bypass the MS authentication check. It has to be running and will open up in its own browser to allow dl or any latest updates you may need for your XP, along with say… WMP11, WMM2, and etc.

Thanks, didn’t know about that program

I have virtual dub but I couldn’t figure out how to snip stuff, I’ll mess with it tonight.
