Thought that I should contribute something

This is my genei jin corner bnb, it’s probably not the most efficient, but it isn’t too difficult. ON smaller characters you have to do kara palms

This is a sequence for genei jin into full animation ultra. I know that the gj combo isn’t the best but it sets up the perfect timing so that you can do [gj mode] mp should cross up, have gj run out, then full animation ultra

Poongko’s pressure is ridiculous. Would be fun to see him switch to Yun considering he isn’t doing that great with Seth lately.

Poongko played Yun just like it should be in that match. I agree that he should switch to Yun, or even better Yang. Theres still Yuns out here but Yang is dead. And Poongko could make him look like top tier, im sure.

Yang’s low risk-reward seems unsuitable for the style that Poongko tends to play.

Nah, Yang is a beast with his resets and combos once he has meter. I can’t wait to see that character unlocked in the US. I thought about picking him up, but I just like Yun too much more, and if I have a secondary character I’ll probably just have Rufus to back me up, since I started with him.

Yang resets arent very strong once your familiar and their pretty risky and you only get little damage on most resets when they can mash dp and get just as much damage, Yun is more suitable if anything but its best for him to stick with Seth and get more confident, main reason Poongko effed up at evo he was thinking about winning too much and because of this he was more afraid of taking risks because of it before he was playing like he had nothing to lose once a seth player plays like that hes easy to beat.

Poongko got blown up 5-1 in a set on Friday or Saturday. That’s why he was tentative in that matchup.

When I look at 666 and those guys, I see a lot of things that Poongko could make use of with Yang’s pressure.

Its reasonable why is Yun more popular in 2012. They just destroyed Yang while Yun is still more than solid character.
But why Yang wasnt popular in AE? I dont remember that I saw some Yangs in big tournaments. He was better than Yun in AE.

Yun has always been way more popular than his brother. He’s funny, he’s aggressive and he wears a hat that he twirls on his finger just to troll you. Yang runs his finger through his hair. No competition

Yang can get damage, but it takes really good execution (something Poongko does have.) But Seth has better MUs than Yang by far, and Yun (imo) has slightly better MUs than Seth. Yang can’t really do what Poongko likes to do either.

Also, Poongko lost because Cammy is a dumb MU for Seth (Yun isn’t too hot for Seth either, but his wake up is much easier to exploit.)

I’m kinda surprised Yang isn’t too popular at lower levels though. It’s amazing how badly he blows up people trying to press buttons.

At low levels Yang players will get bodied by low level shotos which is why i believe he isn’t popular lol.

For Poongko it wasn’t just Cammy he was playing more defensive and less risky against randoms in pools as well wasn’t just Xiaohai, he nearly lost a close match in pools against a random.

Wah that was a horrible match by Hsien :/.

indeed… losing to such mediocre Ryu. Proof that we’re forced to play solid and think even against lower-level Ryus… how sad. I can’t even auto-pilot against bad Ryus.

Street Fighter starts at about 1:00:00. He wins almost every match and faces Sagat, Viper, Ryu, Yun and many others. He, Bonchan and Fuudo trade off, so you gotta surf around for just Yun, but there is some great play here.
