I have this problem finding games on SF4 PSN. I changed ISPs and now it’s extremely difficult for me to find games. It used to take less than 10 seconds for someone to join one of my hosted games. Now, it takes over 5 minutes to find a stable game. I put my PS3 on DMZ and get NAT2. Connection to other games seem normal. Can anyone help?
You need to be more specific. It’s more difficult to find player matches now that CE is out and pretty much everyone on this site has a list of friends to play with already.
Don’t bother hosting a match in a lobby. Set your fight request settings to ‘championship’ and muck around in arcade mode while you wait.
I swear that Capcom has the matchmaking set to prioritize fight request matches. I’ve never waited more than a minute or two for a match, ever, regardless of the hour using fight request.
What’s your DL/UL speed?
It’s difficult to find games on Player match, ranked match and championship match. It either doesn’t find anybody, or I find someone with 1-2 bars. Alot of times, it shows “Unable to play” when I do find someone with 3+ bars.
My download speed is 6.15MB/s
Upload speed is 0.60MB/s
According to speedtest.net.
EDIT: I do have the request function on, but no one is requesting a match.
Are you using Time Warner/Roadrunner as an isp?
If so, try setting the DNS address in connection settings to opendns addresses.
It fixed my SF4/PSN issues, it’s worth a try.
