I want new combos.

However, I can’t understand what you guys saying by actually naming some of the moves.
I thought only anime players did this.

Yeah, I just tried it. It’s 445 starting with Granchi and ending with H Giga Jacker. 470 if you get the Counter hit on Granchi. You can even super if you need the extra 150 damage or so to end a map.

just learn the names. not hard when theyre in english

As nerdy as knowing all the names is, it’s just as nerdy as writing everything out like its a math equation (623+K, P cr.MP into qcf carry the one etc.) Using the names for me is pretty easy because I play tekken too.

Understandable.
It’s just a pain in the neck seeing the name of the moves and having to look back at the command list… literally.
I have the book beside me and I’m having to go back and forth from the screen, lol.

Yea…I kinda get that. Actually, now that I’m remembering how I tried to learn Christie I realize how annoying that is. With Christie it’s a lot worse because of all her stupid different kick strings.

It’s definitely easier once you’ve played the character for a while, but not beginner friendly. All I can say is roll with it for now and hopefully the boards (and me especially ><) will get better with the universal notation. I mean, it’s only been like 5 people on these character boards for months lol.

Besides, it’s so much more fun saying langue washer than DP+K > LP. Try it. Langue washer, langue washer. Spiral rocky. Busting mother fuckers up with that granchi cannon.

Nina/Bob can do nearly 600 damage for 1 bar, 650-670 for 2, and 700 for 3 bars gemless. The thing is… idk how to play footsies or apply pressure with bob.

Is there anything other than the Granchi cannon that we can get the spiral rocky combo off? As I see it, it’s basically Spiral Rocky -> cr.Hp -> Spiral Rocky being the meat of the combo and not the Granchi. So having a way to get into that would basically let Bob destroy most people, lol.

in the corner after a hitting a special step LP or spinner ball LP, you can combo cl.lp, cl.HP for the bound into spiral rocky.

Off of any DP+K, LP midscreen you can get:

Cr.LP, st.MP xx step into spiral rocky.

Not sure if you can get another rocky afterwards though.

While doing some JP research on Paul, I noticed Bob’s QCF+P has JP6, so maybe you can do that after the 2nd Spiral rocky as well? Now that I think about it, it should be one JP off, but maybe I’m mistaken.

Rocky, c.HP, Rocky, QCF+P works midscreen (after a tag cancel for example)

Bob’s super is also JP6, so you could finish with that instead.

Yeah Giga Jacker can pretty much always be used, it is also the only move you can use after Contarno Farce for the same reason. Wait, if his super has the same properties as Jacker, does that mean you can use it after his c.HKxxHKxxHK string too?

Contorno Farce is a weird one… It does appear to bring the juggle counter up to 5 on groundbounce, but the info dump says it only increase by 1? Perhaps that’s only for situations against airborne opponents (when it doesn’t groundbounce?)

Regardless, I would imagine that if you could connect with the super (and maybe even spiral rocky too) then sure, it should work? I can’t get it to connect in time though… :sad:

Another weird thing about Contorno Farce… The first kick forces stand (so that the rest won’t whiff), but if you connect with it while hitting someone out of prejump (which is crouching), it won’t force stand, so the next hit whiffs, and the opponent can even just jump out of that hit and get a full jump-in combo. Wtf?
