Okay the stick came in yesterday and got a quick tryout with it, iāll give some quick impressions if youāre looking to buy it.
As mentioned earlier, the case is really nice, it feel similar to the Madcatz SE stick, big and bulky with good weight. The quality of the buttons and the stick is pretty poor, this was instantly apparant after I unboxed it and found out that the L2 button was permanently stuck in a pressed position, I tried popping it back out with a screwdriver from the back, but it just got stuck again.
The stick that came with it feels pretty flimsy but itās easy to replace, The whole case is very roomy and looks to be great for modding, you can fit all kinds of stuff in there. also the artwork can be exchanged pretty easily.
Even if you have to crank out most of the parts, the case is worth the price alone imo, if you like big cases like me. you can turn this average 7/10 in a solid 9/10 with just a few easily interchangable parts.
Thinking about picking this up but have a couple of quick questions.
Whereās the best place to get it with shipping to the US?
From what Iāve read, a JLF is plug and play using the JLF-TE Cable from godlikecontrols.com. Sanwa buttons are also plug and play. Correct?
I think amazon.es has the best price right now. Given the conversion rate, and amazonās fairly affordable shipping, it should be around 120 USD or less, shipped
I recently bought MKX and cause my controllerās dpad isnāt very precise, I got the Venom Arcade Stick on Amazon. I kinda already got used to it, but I donāt like the stock buttons and the circle gate, so I figured why not upgrade it, afterall it seems easy.
After some reading I figured the best stick for me would be a Seimitsu LS-40, unfortunately not that easy to get in Germany. There is a vendor from the UK on ebay, but then it gets kinda pricey, so Iād like to try the next best available thing, the LS32(non-01).
As someone already mentioned the buttons are plug and play, I am planning to use Sanwas. But how about the Joystick? As far as I can tell, the non-01 Seimitsus have the same connectors as the stock joystick, is that right? So basically I just need the buttons and the joystick + SS plate, no harness or soldering/splicing/whatever.
For what I see the Turbo functions buttons are wired with other function buttons. Any problem if you disconnect them all from the PCB to avoid problems on tournaments or it work OK?
The LS-32/40 donāt need a mounting plate on this stick. Its the qanba mount. You screw them directly the top panel from the top by removing the plexi.
At around 4:40 in this vid you can see the mounting holes. There are 4 that form a square. These are the holes one uses to mount an LS-32/40. These correspond exactly to the holes with which the stick is mounted to the plate, so it seems to me that one could completely bypass the plate and just screw to the panel. I donāt have a 32 or 40 in mine, and honestly i donāt really care to install it just to prove this, but it suffices to say that it uses the mouning holes that the q1 uses.
