(Now I just need to get the graphics printed and cut and take everything back out again lol)

I apologize if this isn’t the correct place for this. I am a very infrequent poster. I recently bought a Mayflash F500, which evidently is a clone of the Venom stick. It’s easy to work with (much easier than the old days of Mayflash sticks with their damn 28mm button holes). The stock parts aren’t actually terrible, which is a real surprise. Still, I plan to put in a JLF and Sanwa buttons.

I want to replace the stock art sheet, but I am no artist. I want an Ayane themed arcade stick from the Dead or Alive fighting game series.

I am looking to commission someone to create custom art for me for this stick. I also need the art printed and shipped, and if someone has specific expertise, cut to size.

If someone can help me out, please let me know. I live in Canada, but am willing to commission anyone who has the skills and ability to mail me the art ready to apply.

You might have better luck getting a nibble on that request by posting [HERE](The NEW Official Arcade Stick Art Thread NO IMAGE QUOTING!

I might be able to help you, I’ve customized a Venom and a Mayflash V2 which should have the same dimensions as the F500. I have an A3 printer and a cutting machine.
PM me if you’re interested, I’ll post some photos of my work below (the photos aren’t as sharp as I’d like due to taking them in low light conditions but the print quality in real life is extremely sharp).

Hey for anyone who has modded their Mayflash F500 with Sanwa or seimitsu parts, would you consider selling the 9 stock red buttons the stick comes with? Assuming they are in good condition. I know they’re not as good as real name brand buttons, but I’m surprisingly fond of them and would like to use them in another stick, especially if someone’s willing to sell their unwanted stock buttons on the cheap.

What did you have in mind? Also would you want the joystick and balltop as well?

Hi guys!
Sorry for my bad english but I need few info since I would like to mod my Venom stick.
I just wish to make it full sanwa and as far as I understand I’ll need the following stuff:

https://www.smallcab.net/sanwa-joystick-p-73.html
The stick plus the 5 pin cable ( can someone tell me which is the difference between the simple cable and the Dupont connector? )

Also this type of buttons are the right ones?
https://www.smallcab.net/sanwa-obsc-p-372.html

That’s all I need right?

Last but not least I found on shoryuken forum some template in order to customize the faceplate.
They work only with adobe illustrator / Adobe PS?

Thanks in advance for any answer!

this is the cable you need. The one that comes with the joystick itself only has the 5 pin connector on 1 side. This cable allows you to connect the joystick to the PCB with minimal effort.
The joystick that is in the Venom has an 8 pin connector but there is a spot for a 5 pin on your PCB.

Those buttons look correct also. You may want a single OBSF 24mm button for your ā€œStartā€ button if you chose to replace it.
Other than that, you will just need a balltop for the joystick and you’re good to go.

I’m not sure about the templates as I do not own an A3 printer.

but yes. everything you have there is correct.

Hi, is any of you guys in possession of a file that Biggz share? Link has expired :frowning: I’m sorry for my English but I hope you understand. Regards

The file can be found here - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1iMga23Lj78cWUtNXZiS1lqT0E/view?usp=sharing

However, there may be another template to use. A guy over at Reddit has incorporated a couple of the snags I had with my template in to a new version. This can be found here - https://www.reddit.com/r/StreetFighter/comments/5hjq8s/my_venom_hitbox/

The snags aren’t major things, just little things I’d do differently if I had another plexi cut i.e. smaller screw holes.

If you do get one made please share pictures when it’s complete!

I’m waiting for ruckage to get mine done

Me too

Hello! New to the forums here just wondering if there’s anyone out there that will do the service of helping me out with a few custom art designs? I have a few ideas but not the know how to design in software.

Try the arcade stick art thread, it’s in the same section TECH TALK , it’s difficult to miss

Ruckage is actually pretty good at this sort of stuff and his rates are low. He also ships internationally.

Yeah I sent him a PM, he must be extremely busy making orders. I wouldn’t mind getting in line for his work = )

He’s in the UK so his times differ from ours it seems. However, he is generally quick to respond and easy to work with. He also seems to care a lot about customer satisfaction. Worth the wait in my opinion.

Cool use of a MG RX-78-2 3.0 kit box. I have that finished kit on my desk at work. I was surprised that the cardboard is thin enough to fit under the plexi without issue.

That is seriously freaking cool. Gundam is life…
