Hi everyone. I signed up to say after reading this thread i liked the look of the venom stick. I had actually preordered the mad catz alpha stick and went to collect the game and stick today ( launch day ) from GAME but I was appalled when I saw the alpha stick. The clerk let me open the box to look at it. It was so small and light weight it was ridiculous . I am light fingered on sticks and a simple motion would wobble the case. Luckily, they had the venom stick in stock so I bought that instead. The venom is a much higher quality feel out the box, it is playable for someone who knows no better but Sanwa upgrade is a must if you are used to them. I Iā€™ll post pics once my sanwa and art work is fitted!. Iā€™m not trying to bash mad catz as I loved my round one te but the alpha is crap.

Same here! I was going to buy the Alpha Stick, even pre-ordered it, and then I came upon this thread, started lurking and you guys convinced me to change for a modded Venom. Great community with great, helpful and creative people here. :slight_smile:

Nice! I think venom has priced this stick well and the modding opportunities are both easy and affordable. Im no pro but Iā€™ve compared this to other sticks and it just feels betterā€¦

The shell isnā€™t bad, the manufacture manage to cut costs by using cheaper parts, and I canā€™t speak about the PCB inside.
But by making that shell standard arcade part compatible in a reasonably built stick case, you made the lower price of the stick something worth getting.

Hi everyone, I just bought a Venom stick and the female to female cable. Still waiting for them in the mail. I was just wondering if I can install a Hori Hayabusa lever in the Venom arcade stick using the female to female connector so i donā€™t have to solder it. Also, do Sanwa OBSF-30RG buttons fit in the Venom arcade stick? And lastly, if I print out custom artwork, which paper should I use? Thanks.

The same connector will work with any Japanese 5 pin joystick (flip upside down for Seimitsu).

Iā€™ve got a Venom Stick but also a Mad Catz Fighting Stick pro.
I prefer the stick and buttons over the Sanwaā€™s part of the Mad Catz.
The stick is more rigid, is the seimitsu alike ?

Ok i got the stick from uk amazon.cost me 100 euros with shipping to slovakia.i got it in a week.
Its a very good stick for that price.in my country i can only get the razer atrox that cost 270 euros insane.a ps4 price almost.and i needed a ps4 also becouse every friend here got a ps4 so i can play mkx with them.
Stick is rigid,has a very good dimensions and weight can hold on different materials.i tried wood,glass and ceramic tables no problems it stays in place.
Stick and buttons are fuctional out of the box but you can feel that the quality isnt there.
Iwas growing on korean and american arcades(mk2,KI2) so i was used to full circles.last stick that i owned was a salaubi stick for ps2.so i was worried how i would handle a square gate.after a hour of adjusting in mkx on pc and figure out the distances between buttons i was getting those 40 percnet combos with ermac,predator,tremor without a problem.
Then i tried sfv but it did not work.i needed to download a x360ce 64 input after that it worked also a pleasant experience.

If you are not from uk and live in europe venom,the hori Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai and the torii fight stick on arcadeworlduk are your only good value options for good fightstick right now
