Venom arcade stick PS4/PS3

Great info on Ls 32. Thanks.

I just got two of these sticks. Modded all the parts with sanwa parts. Is there anyone who can make me a vewlix art for this stick.

I may be able to help you. What did you have in mind? Something similar to this perhaps?

Thanks KewreL d3v is doing one for me. Yeah wanted one like that.

Anyone know what that PS button is. Thinking of replacing it with a different color one. Also do you print the art in gloss or matt.

any 24mm button should do

I’ve decided i’m making the jump to a fight stick and at Ā£70 plus postage this stick seems to tick a lot of boxes for me, before i pull the trigger on this can anyone give opinions on how good the stick would be for learning to play in it’s non-modded state?

If you do reply can you point out how it compares to the same stick modded with for example Sanwa parts?

I’m taking note of all the discussion around mods etc. but i’m more concerned that it’s a good stick for learning with then i can consider whether to invest more money into it with a mod.

Any responses are appreciated.

It’s definitely ok in the mean time, but i’d recommend you upgrade at the minimum the microswitches for the buttons if you can. That’s a really cheap mod. That’s the only legit bad part about the performance, everything else is ok (even if it’s not the absolute best). The parts are moddelled after sanwa parts, so they offer a ballpark feel, but have higher resitance in general making them feel less buttery smooth.

Yeah the venom Joystick and push buttons does the job, but just so. No More and No Less.
Swapping out the button microswitches for Sanwa sw-68 switches would be the easy budget move.
You can also swap out the switches and spring on the Joystick.

Sanwa and Seimitsu parts are going to feel smoother with a snapper more satisfying action.

Cheers for the responses Microphonic and Darksakul, just bought the stick so i’ll pick up some microswitches and get practicing.

With swapping out switches, just take it slow and go one at a time (especially if you are new at it).

Anyone else notice this problem. Once you insert the Sanwa OBSF buttons. It doesn’t click all the way down. The first stick the black and white buttons stick. You can see the first 6 white buttons showing the clip. And on the 2nd stick the last two red button showing the clip. Is anyone else having this problem. And some time the button does not respond not sure if this is due to this.

Thanks

Sometimes you just got to ā€œhammerā€ those buttons in (do not use a actual hammer).

Thanks for your reply. I have done that but it goes down and clips but you can still see the clips on the white and red buttons. Does it show on your one.

Since it does not go all the way in like the pics i have seen hear. You can pull the buttons off with your finger.

If you changed those white buttons a lot they start to do that, I guess it’s nib and the clips start to wear(snap-in buttons aren’t meant to be taken out and put in many times) if those white buttons are new then I’m not sure.
That’s one reason I use screw-in buttons now.

Yeah both the buttons on the two sticks are brand new.

I think your buttons clipped on top of the artwork.

That is possible. I just hammer snap-ins in with the meaty part of my palm.
Its also why I prefer screw-in buttons.
