A number of ways. Depending how permanent you want it.
Easiest and least permanet being opening up the stick and putting a piece of electric tape inside, over the turbo button’s contacts.
The turbo button is still there, but the rubber dome can’t make contact with the PCB’s contacts and can’t complete the circuit.
It is also easy to undo.
More permanent methods include cutting traces on the daughter PCB, snipping wires, and removing the button all together and finding something to plug up the hole.
I seen someone remove the turbo button from their stick and plug the opening with epoxy putty.
I need a PS4 stick soon and since i suck at soldering I wanna get the venom and just use the PCB in my xbone KI TE, can i just connect the buttons/stick and I’am good to go? Will my LEDs still work? How would the ps3/4 switch work? I feel so lost at the moment.
The case is the same one used in the Mayflash V2 and some Famicom themed Bluetooth stick, and I’m sure the buttons/lever are from the exact same source as well. The only difference is the pcb, which Sony of Europe licensed.
So, i just got this stick and like everyone else, noticed that the stock buttons are crap.
Fortunately I had mcz TE laying around, so I took sanwa buttons and stick from it(venom stick wasn’t that bad, but sanwa is still better).
And to finish customizing, I put GG artwork
Also you may notice that I didn’t cut ledlight spots from the artwork. This is intentional, because the leds were blinding me.
Thin paper really doesn’t dim them much, but just enough that I can look into sticks direction when its plugged
Is the balltop (just the balltop) replaceable by LB-35/LB-30 tops? I want to do some customizing but taking out the entire joystick is a little scary for my taste.
Been lurking this thread for a while and finally made the choice to purchase it today. I was in need of a PS4 stick and stick availability is really poor over here. It should arrive tomorrow. Also ordered buttons to immediately replace the stock buttons. The Fem to fem harness is something I’ll invest in later, because it’ll involve high shipping cost, but I heard the stock joystick was decent enough.
Is there any easy way to order this in the US? I went almost all the way through the amazon.co.uk ordering process and it seemed like it would allow me to place and order without absurd shipping but I wanted to make 100% sure.
yea the shipping wasn’t to bad on my order… Also it came on like the 3rd business day… it was insanely fast. I will use it stock for the beta as I haven’t decided what type of custom art I will be going for.
Thanks. So it would seem for someone that already has extra parts on hand that this is the absolute best PS4 stick to get right now. It’s like half the price of a TE2 and accepts Sanwa and Seimitsu parts without large issues.
For those that have taken this apart does the mode switch butto act as a DPDT switch?
Mine was 120 after express shipping, it looks like there was a slight sale when I purchased mine as the price is slightly higher now. I went with this over the Hori because I like the customization that came with it along with the shape. The others could in fact be a better deal but I am a noob to stick and am pretty happy with the purchase.
Side note, has anyone had any issues with your stick randomly losing connection while playing? was just in Ultra and kept losing connection about every 15 seconds.
yo guys, so im new to fighting games and have been looking for cheap stick to use and was wondering if this stick is compatable with pc, thanks in advance, plumps
