Yes, the main buttons are 30mm. Most people tend to go with Sanwa. The PS button is 24mm I believe, if you ever would want to swap that one. Itās better quality than the others though.
Unfortunately, Iām too much of a stick noob to answer this.
On the Venom, the art is just lying there under the plexi glass. No glue. On the older Mayflash V2 (on which the Venom is based) the art was glued to the glass, or so Iāve heard.
Try arcadeshop.de (Germany) or akishop.jp (Japan). Akishop is cheaper but the risk of getting stuck in customs (and having to pay extra) is much higher. Akishop is usually faster though as they tend to keep more stuff in stock.
Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately, amazon doesnāt sell the female cables to Portugal, but Iām sure I can track them down somewhere else. Need to compare shipping prices, but arcadeworlduk seems like a solid choice for the rest of the parts, ordering from Japan has crazy expensive ports and I risk customs trouble.
while i not done it myself, i see no reason for the hayabusa not to fit since there is a good amount of room in the stick. And yes, with the female-female harness, the hayabusa is plug and play too
Reading this thread made me zero in on this as my first arcade stick. Been playing fighters since SF2 days, but all local stuff with friends, never preferred a stick over a controller. I now want to give an arcade stick a serious try but not break the bank just in case I decide I want to go back to a controller. So this seems perfect, I am sure when mines come in I will have a bunch of questions (especially if the buttons stick as much as previously posted I would want to swap those out ASAP). thanks again to everyone who posted, you made my decision a lot easier.
Also anyone who has made the transition recently, how long did it take you to adjust? (apologies if this is in the wrong thread)
Have the same story, been thinking about getting an arcade stick for a long time and finally decided to jump in with this one after reading this thread. I have also ordered the sanwa buttons and stick to go along with it. Really looking forward to getting them together and then sucking for a long time
Which stick did you get, was it the JLF-TP? I was thinking about grabbing that as well but didnāt go fully into the in and out of the swap so I was going to hold off. Now looking for some art work to throw on this bad boy
That settles that then, thank you. Just for information sake, so I can start learning a bit more about how these sticks work, why canāt I just use the cable that comes with the hayabusa? Is it because the stock one is soldered and I need a special thing to connect to another place in the pcb?
The cable that come with most sticks only has one female end, the other being plain wire. To connect the stick without soldering, you need a female connection for the pins on the stick itself, and another for the pins on thr pcb
