Vega’s JP voice is unbelievably generic. Sounds like a million pretty boy anime characters.
His EN voice is far superior.
Personally, the only one I have set to JP is Honda, because his EN voice sounds like he’s a Sesame Street character and his constant narration of his moves is annoying.
Vega’s JP voice sucks. Sorry. The English actor nailed the accent.
I’ll turn on his English voice but I really like the japanese laugh when he lands his ultra - it’s such a ‘fuck you’.
His laugh on both his Ultra and his timeout win pose is fantastic in both EN and JP voices.
“Soak in your own blood…bloody high claw!” + The laugh = Eng voice wins…for the Ultra
I still prefer JP version generally because the screech he makes when he performs a flying barcelona is awesome. It’s especially awesome when you do overhead after overhead after overhead and it’s sort of this barrage of weird screeches. I love it hehe

Mainly because when he’s doing the Ultra I don’t know wtf he’s saying, but it sounds cool and awesome. So I leave it in JP.

When he does his ultra w/ jp voice he says “Bloody High Claw”, but since the actor is Japanese it sounds like “Boooooooody haaaaa clooooooooo”

Does anyone know how you get the character specific quotes online? It seems like it happens sometimes with random, and I really love the vs. Chun Li and Vs. Ryu ones.
When Vega fights Chun Li in arcade mode, he says “I can’t wait to taste your blood”. That one just… stuck with me. Don’t ask why.
And yes, I recently switched to Vega’s English voice just to hear his awesome laugh in taunt 8.
